Speaking of psychopaths

1,194 Palestinians dead now as Israel goes forward with Operation Clubbing Baby Seals.
PS: The question that we should be asking here is, since there is neither a military or economic justification for the Israeli attack, why? It could be to use up inventory, as the US is constantly resupplying them with fresh weapons. It could be a distraction, as there is very little reporting stateside on the Ukraine conflict now, and ISIS has left the news. Did the US instruct Israel to attack as a distraction? News outlets do voluntarily cooperate in censorship, but also need to fill their times and space. Stranger things than that go down, and human life means nothing to these people.

The killing machine keep killing long after the “war is over.” Of course, it’s never over, and the weapons used to kill civlians — ours and theirs — should all have been outlawed years ago. Liquidating excess inventory before tax season, perhaps? Jobs, jobs, jobs, as Max used to say when asked any question about almost any subject. What jobs? More (cannon fodder) first-responders? http://nypost.com/2014/07/27/cancers-among-ground-zero-workers-skyrocketing/

    • Interesting … Dr. Woods noted that the new towers, stupidly called the “Freedom towers” are built on stilts. It might be a weird design, or more likely to her, the fact that the process set in motion on 9/11/01 is still going on, which also explains why the Bankers Trust building, which sustained only minor damages and was repaired, eventually had to be demolished, its steel beams rusting away as if it was infected with cancer.

My ex-brother-in-law, Dick McGuire, NYC Fireman, retired at that time, could not make it into Manhattan that day to help his colleagues, as ground transportation was shut down. He got on his bike and rode to Ground Zero from Rockville Centre, as firemen help each other. He’s dead now, cancer.

Interesting take today on post-1989 greed and bungling by The West.

If the baby seals were launching rockets into my neighborhood I’d club a few.

    • You could do some research, checking all sides of the matter, to verify that you’ve got a good grip on that situation. I would start there.

It’s been my experience that people don’t just attack other people for no reason, and even more so that weak people do not attack strong people, especially people up to their eyeballs in US weaponry, like the Israelis. So I see something like the situation here, and think hmmmm… must be something more to it.

Like you know, when I heard that Mike Sample was stabbed and killed, my first reaction was “this is not random. Something bigger going on.” Sure ’nuff, there was.

      • Big Swede says:

        Here’s some research.

QOTD: “Consider the media obsession with the [Gaza] body count. According to a daily tally in the New York Times, NYT -3.64% as of July 27 the war in Gaza had claimed 1,023 Palestinian lives as against 46 Israelis. How does the Times keep such an accurate count of Palestinian deaths? A footnote discloses “Palestinian death tallies are provided by the Palestinian Health Ministry and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.”

OK. So who runs the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza? Hamas does. As for the U.N., it gets its data mainly from two Palestinian agitprop NGOs, one of which, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, offers the remarkably precise statistic that, as of July 27, exactly 82% of deaths in Gaza have been civilians. Curiously, during the 2008-09 Gaza war, the center also reported an 82% civilian casualty rate.

When minutely exact statistics are provided in chaotic circumstances, it suggests the statistics are garbage. When a news organization relies—without clarification—on data provided by a bureaucratic organ of a terrorist organization, there’s something wrong there, too.

But let’s assume for argument’s sake that the numbers are accurate. Does this mean the Palestinians are the chief victims, and Israelis the main victimizers, in the conflict? By this dull logic we might want to rethink the moral equities of World War II, in which over one million German civilians perished at Allied hands compared with just 67,000 British and 12,000 American civilians.” –Bret Stephens

        • Your life is a constant exercise in conformation bias. Nothing more. I’ve mentioned that to you before, and that we all do it to some degree, but you are certainly one of the foremost practitioners.

Experiments have found repeatedly that people tend to test hypotheses in a one-sided way, by searching for evidence consistent with their current hypothesis. Rather than searching through all the relevant evidence, they phrase questions to receive an affirmative answer that supports their hypothesis. They look for the consequences that they would expect if their hypothesis were true, rather than what would happen if it were false

My own experience in conformation bias is somewhat tempered because I enjoy arguing with people who disagree with me. But I do it as well.

Also apparent in the snippet above is a morsel of American propaganda from Stephens, the demon effect. In your minds, “Hamas” is an evil creature, even as you know nothing about it. It is a political party, an organization that runs hospitals and schools, and a governing unit. Its founding was assisted by the Israelis, who were tired of Fatah and wanted to control the Palestinians by controlling their governing apparatuses too. So Hamas is deeply infiltrated by Isareli moles, and as a consequence often seems to work with Israel, performing stupid deeds like launching rockets into empty fields to justify an Israeli response. Israelis assure themselves that Palestinians will continually keep Hamas in power because they constantly berate Hamas. Palestinians then react by voting them into power. And the game moves forward.

Swede, it is complicated. I do wish you’d see that. There’s plenty of evil to go around. Even Stephens’ bold assertion that by counting victims we could assert that the Germans were the victims in World War II, if you were an honest inquirer, might lead you to the conclusions I and others have reached, that there were no good guys in that war, only survivors, and that the whole world owes the Russians and Stalin a debt for fighting and winning it for us.

I know, too many goddamned sentences strung together for your taste, but you do present a face of impenetrable ignorance on these matters. You do frustrate people, who in the end usually just shrug, laugh and leave.

  4. Rob Kailey says:

I think you’re reaching, Mark. When the jews, gypsies and other ‘social undesirables’ were herded into ghettos, and then killed indiscriminately during “riots”, there was no deeper motivation than just the killing. The world had it’s own problems in ’39, ’40 and they didn’t care what the Nazis did. The taking had already been done, save for the ground those sad Hebrew folk stood on. The Israelis have nothing to fear from world censure right now, nor does the US gain a thing from distraction in the Internet age. Where you want to see something deeper, I see gross opportunism.

    • In ’39 and 40, and long before, certain British and American factions wanted to see the Nazis empowered, given all they needed, the object, later called Barbarossa. Chamberlain represented such factions as did a huge swath of American banking and industrial interests.

If there is a parallel, it is this: These same American and British factions could give two shits about Nazis Jews, gypsies, homosexuals and the mentally challenged. So long as they did not get in the way of the big prize, the little Nazi side perversions were of no concern.

In the same manner, Palestinians are of no concern to banking, oil and gas and weapons manufacturers who call the shots. So long as Israel fulfills its role, it’s little peccadillos, like its penchant for stealing land and murdering people, are of no concern.

  5. Larry Kralj says:

The zionazis are just making it up now. No need for reality any longer. This is real weird, but probably effective for their fundiwackmentalist base here in this country. Very weird indeed. But news none the less.

    • I think that Israel is biding time, delaying, obfuscating, derailing any “peace” processes, as it works it’s way to the final solution for Palestinians. I call it diaspora, disbursal, Jordan, as we live in a time when they can’t simply murder them all. Otherwise, don’t kid yourself, they would.

  6. steve kelly says:

The U.S. could end it all tomorrow with a congressional vote to end all financial aid and by issuing unequivical notice that we will no longer maintain our (double-standard) human rights exception, will no longer vote against our national interest, and will allign with the rest of the world next time the U.N. attempts to stop Israel’s war crimes against Palestinians.

  7. steve kelly says:

This (extortion?) might help explain the recent 100-0 congressional vote to support Israel’s mass murder operation in Gaza. http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/cia-director-john-brennan-apologizes-for-search-of-senate-computers/2014/07/31/28004b18-18c6-11e4-9349-84d4a85be981_story.html

  8. Big Swede says:

“In your minds, “Hamas” is an evil creature, even as you know nothing about it.”

Your statement Mark. You either didn’t know Hamas’s charter or ignored their blatant hatred.

As per my link they (Hamas) long for Jewish genocide.

“The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, has said: ‘The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.’”

    • OK, one more try: You need to read more than those sources that you know in advance you will agree with. I told you that Hamas was an Israeli creation and deeply infested with Israeli moles, and was set up to allow Israel to have full spectrum dominance by being both its own voice and it’s own opposition. It is complex, and people who surface skim should not come here with full-formed opinions. It did not even register with you. Come back when you have read a little of the history of Hamas.

      And not before. OK?
