HIL-AR-EE!

I rarely discuss politics, and it is all such an insult to our intelligence. But just this one time, before moving on to substantial matters, some politics.

Just as predicted, Bernie Sanders rolled over for Hillary, as was his job from the beginning. He was hired to give liberals and progressives a reason to care about politics, and then to step aside for Nurse Ratchet. The idea that the Democratic leadership submarined him is ludicrous, as he was a player from the beginning. The idea that the Russians have an iota of interest in American political theater is equally absurd.

Ah, but the silence is deafening. Even as it plays out exactly as we said it would, all of the usual suspects are lining up now, scared out of their panties of The Donald, and going for the lesser evil once again. If only she were the lesser evil.

Nathan at Lift the Veil had a nice piece on the choreography during her speech. Every now and then the crowd would begin chanting “Hil-Ar-Ee”, and it was at illogical times, even interrupting her cadence. (She’s a horrible speaker, but does have a cadence, even if barely tolerable.) The reason was that her followers were told to do that anytime any protest broke out. So the lonely progressives there, too dense to understand that Bernie played them, were reduced to chanting “NO MORE WAR” and “NO T-P-P,” only to be drowned out by the trained seals.

It sucks to be a progressive in this country, as we have no organized left, and you are only used as a board piece during elections. Better for all of you to join those of us on the enlightened side of politics. We don’t pay attention, we don’t care, we don’t vote, and spend our time trying to understand the real world, not the fake one.

What is the purpose of the election?
To strengthen the media: to solidify its position as the solitary voice of moral & intellectual authority, to establish & extend the careers of acceptable “journalists”, and to make bundles of money.

What is the purpose of Trump?
To further erode, by virtue of association, any remaining loyalty to core conservative principles such as free speech, self-defense, nationalism, family values, or Christian authority.

What is the purpose of Hillary?
To clarify the inevitable supremacy of global corporatism and remove all sense of respectability (or authority) from government itself.

What is the purpose of voting?
To provide maximum saturation for the media, and the opportunity to further alienate, through social media shaming, anyone with opinions that diverge from the media narrative.
