I did not watch the Saints/Rams game and so had not seen this play before today. It certainly adds fuel to the fire for those who think NFL games are fixed. This was blatant pass interference that the whole viewing audience saw. (Click on the “Watch on YouTube”link to see it.)
In fact, somehow some disgruntled fans in New Orleans managed to bring the matter to court, where a judge ruled that the law they invoked could not be used. There is still a class action lawsuit on behalf of season ticket holders. That will be interesting.
If I understand correctly, and I don’t know that I do, the NFL is a private business that sells entertainment. If it wants to fix its games, it can.

I’m leaning toward massive money-laundering business. Entertainment is the cover. Who’s going to rat out the “other” franchises if they’re all getting a cut? Round robin of stadium construction — concrete alone is in the billions, in aggregate — keeps everyone “in the game.”
Stadium construction (construction is notorious tool of launderers) is above suspicion due to “public-private” extortion to “pay for it.” Salaries. Media rights. Bribes. Kickbacks. All, “too-big-to audit.” Never heard of an audit, yet.
Compare to FIFA, which has already been fractionally exposed for laundering billions annually.

The NFL blurred the line between it & the WWE. I stopped watching this sheet decades back. So when I hear this Tom Brady is playing in a 9th SB. my head hurts from how stupid the general public is. What are the odds of that being legitimate? And the symbols this Sunday shall be as obvious. Is there a FEMA like drill going on as well? TV said tonight that US Fighter Jets will be on stand down in Georgia Sunday. Opps, I mean stand by.

I went to a couple of Broncos games this year … a grandson thing. The military is all over the place. They send paratroopers in at the beginning, they do flyovers at kickoff, and they have men in uniform marching up and down the field during interminable commercial breaks. And they pay for it all. It does not cost the Broncos a penny. It is nationwide, all sports, and costs hundreds of millions. It is how they recruit wet-behind-the-ears kids to join up. What do the kids do when they become soldiers? Nothing. They travel, get food and housing, get brainwashed. I think the brainwashing, which is apparent all around me, is what is most important to them. Having a large percentage of former soldiers in the population, beady eyed and blank-brained, is a nice device ro keep regular people in line.

I take this to mean that it was intended that the Rams were going to be in the Super Bowl, and that not all players are in on the Fix when these games are rigged. Otherwise New Orleans would not have come so close to winning, fircing the referees to make that horrible non-call.
Steve, I do not understand money laundering, how it might figure in. The game is a feast of riches for owners. They want New stadiums because the owners get to keep it 100% of the take from luxury boxes. Everything else has to be shared.

If I knew all the particular ways, I’d contract out to the (crooked) authorities supposedly regulating the sport(s) involved. What regulatory authority can’t be “bought” or stacked with foxes guarding the hen house? That’s why we have government agencies, to facilitate commerce/profit, is it not?
Bigger the numbers, bigger the opportunity. Betting (legal and illegal) alone can generate huge windfalls, especially if the outcome is predetermined.

Mark you understand correctly. IMO “The Fix Is In” website and accompanying books authored by self-proclaimed #1 sports conspiracy theorist Brian Tuohy is Controlled Opposition. Brian even looks military. I exchanged enough emails with Brian and read enough of his books and website to conclude Controlled Opposition is exactly what he is, much like an Alex Jones who Brian seems to like which is telling as well. Better than nothing I guess for the skeptical sports fan who’s on the fence about rigged sports. In the end Brian has a way of making it all seem like it’s not so bad accepting the unacceptable we shouldn’t accept since the unacceptable is acceptable if you accept it as unacceptable.

the coin flip is a brilliant way to fix games in overtime for the winner you want. did you see the actual coin after it was flipped at the chiefs patriots game. no you didn’t because they didn’t show it on tv. the Patriot guy yelled out his call and the ref yelled out what the coin flip was
of course the team you want to win the game just so happens to win the coin toss, drive down the length of the field and score the winning touchdown without the other team getting to touch the ball.

You only need a few, well trained players (actors) refs (directors) to make the desired outcome a reality. Los Angeles is home to Ho::ywood. She (whore) was selected long before the playoffs. I find it astounding how you and the other older members here just refuse to ‘let go’ of the fantasy games being pure. Or at best saying only a few games are rigged. I suppose it could be a show in a sport with so few games. My suspicion is that their objective is to keep the audience 1)gambling and 2) watching commercials, and are not so much about outcomes until it gets down to a few teams. Rams were obviously chosen.

I am of the opinion all of sports is rigged. Every draft, personnel move, injury (impossible for us to know magnitude and/or if real/faked), every superstar created/fallen, every game, every year, all rigged, every time. Matter of fact I believe each season’s champions are known years in advance. What real skills has Tom Brady ever had besides being Matt Damon batched? None. Zero. He looks good in eye black and behind the podium. That’s why he was chosen. For his smile and his press conference abilities. He is a terrible actor on the field. His fake jubilation his fake dismay and fake ‘game face’ are embarassing.

Trigger man I can tell you’ve never played competitive sports. Especially football. How many trophies do you have? How many 1st Team All-League Pitcher as High School Junior awards do you have? How many Team MVP basketball trophies do you have? How many football trophies Quarterbacking your team to back to back undefeated championships with just one tie do you have? I am an athlete and I’m telling you Tom Brady has no real football skills. Can he scramble? No. Can he escape serious rush? No. Can he thread the needle on the run? In Germany we also have big arenas for what you call soccer. Those are state controlled real estates. The state also has to support all necessary infrastructure, sufficient streets, parking places, public transportation, etc. All payed with taxpayers money. On a game day the trains are overfilled with fans, many of them behaving really badly. They bring their own alcohol, some fireworks. The day after the media usually complain about how much damage has been done. The same circus over and over again. Some of the fans come very well organized in groups. They chant slogans in the train in a scripted way. At least it is my impression that they had some practice in advance. The link you provided Mark looks very much like Captain Obvious. Except the money part. There is this illusion that it is a multi billion dollar business. The superstars show off with their big houses, cars, etc. Yet still, I’m not buying it. The only money it makes is from tickets and commercials. From this money all the necessities has to be payed. The maintenance has to be very expensive. IMO it is more like with art theaters which are officially heavily subsidized because they cannot make the money they need. Sports may be less dramatic but I’m still not buying the big money part of it. For instance the majority of the tickets is not very expensive. Rock concerts have a similar structure but there you won’t get any cheap tickets. Rock stars make their money on stage. They don’t get much from selling CD’s. Sport stars make some good money as long as they play but then they have to live from what’s left. Very few of them make it into media business and will pretend to be very rich for a bit longer. The majority disappears into oblivion, being only sometimes once again mentioned on their funerals. Their life is of no importance, their “big money” somehow lost. That’s why I don’t buy the big money part in the sports or where ever. How often did you hear about some former super star being broke and in debts? It’s a common thing, no? You you’ve made so many millions in a couple of years and it did not last for the rest of your life?

And yes not only do I believe Tom Brady has average at best NFL QB skills and below average acting ability when it comes to expressing fake emotions before/during/after a game and behind the podium with his bleached smile, I’m going to take it a step further and say I also believe Brady is gay just like Rodgers & Aikman. The Fix is In guy may be controlled opposition. He always promotes gambling, booze and Christmas on his Twitter account. Does that make someone CO? Perhaps not, but he never seems to understand any conspiracies other than football. As with every good shill, he does disclose the truth. I recently emailed him asking if he was CO, no response. Everyone should send him an email and ask. I also emailed him a year ago asking a question about a game and he responded right away. Test him out!
I suspect almost every game is fixed because there is so much money at stake with gambling. Also, most teams have a better home record which helps sell tickets. Plus they have to promote certain players to help sell jerseys. The league also helps to promote hoaxes. I suspect many players are involved with staged story-lines, such as drug use, assault, murder, flavor of the month, etc.
I also think many players are gay and have famous beards as girlfriends and wives. How can it be that there are no openly gay star players? Aaron Rogers, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, etc may be gay. This is how it goes…rich and famous people are known to be gay and have famous beards.
The best way to get away with a big lie is to have as few people in on it as possible. Mind control works wonders. Perhaps no one in the know talks because it would break their contractual obligation. It seems impossible for TPTB to pull it off, but then again they are able to pull off big lies all the time.
Many teams also win after some kind of major hoax or natural disaster. The Patriots won after 9/11. The Saints won after Katrina. There is also a correlation with new stadiums and Super Bowl appearances. There is a lot of staging going on which seems humanly impossible, but that is the world we live in.

Carol Lawyer thank you for your several tips of the hat rehashings of my just posted personal beliefs based on much study and heightened observations. Brian Tuohy understands all of it that is certain. Nobody writes the books he’s written and appears on others well-produced podcasts while referencing yesteryears and today’s cream of the crop copy without understanding his topic. In my experience with Brian the no reply means absolutely yes. When pushed Brian will reply by playing dumb or with absurd your guess is as good as mine comments. Brian defines C.O in that every year reads the exactly same with this guy. Same shit different day pass the beer nuts. I do respect him and am grateful to him nonetheless. Just as I am with POM and MMC. My life has changed for better without a doubt. I look up to Mark and the writers here at POM and MMC. All real courageous inspiring heroes in my book. Is it me or did you just come out of left field onto this site? Either way my guess is you’re actually male and for certain sensible regarding this posts material. Sports are rigged top to bottom period. In my opinion TPTB do not discriminate at all regarding anything on this earth.
