I have not paid much attention to the Trump impeachment proceedings, assuming it is all a sideshow complete with clowns and carnival barkers. It could be that something real is in store, as Trump is, like all presidents before, just an actor. In my worst imaginings, he is set up to act as controlled opposition in the Climate Change game and will take all of the remarkable skeptical community down with him.
Climate Change is one of the biggest hoaxes I have seen, and I have lived through McCarthyism, the assassinations of the 1960s, The Cold War, The Missile Crisis, The Iran Hostage event, Jonestown, the Iraq Wars (including the alleged starving of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi kids and old people), the Soviet Collapse, AIDS, 911, the 2000 election, and, oh yeah, I almost forgot, Bill Hicks’ cancer death. Commenters will add to this list no doubt. In the end, we might have 33 or more major hoaxes.
Did I forget OJ? The OJ trial? The fake lawyers and cops and a judge, all assembled as a national disgrace/distraction, led by Alan Dershowitz?

It’s a mystery to me why major outlets like that always have the most annoying web pages. I guess just trying to degrade people’s ability to read or think whatsoever?
Anyway. I heard some clips from Dershowitz. If I were still fully inside the matrix, I’d be very drawn to his rhetoric. I’m a sucker for “nonpartisans” who rise above the fray and seem to be the adults in the room, more knowledgeable and articulate than everyone else. As it is, I’m still impressed that someone who knows the score can take the fiction seriously enough to craft some situationally brilliant line of bull squeeze.
I sorta remember his name from OJ days. But at the time, I was a snooty teenager who considered myself above the fray of media bread and circuses. Even though I assumed they were based in some degree of actuality, just kind of sensationalized and turned into tabloid entertainment.

AIDS is a real disease, and many people died from it. The scam there was to say it was caused by a harmless passenger virus, one that I am not even sure exists, HIV. By so doing they took a lifestyle affliction more related to use of “poppers,” room deodorizers that when ingested created longer and more intense orgasms but also destroyed immune systems, and magnified it into a national epidemic that could affect anyone in sexual congress, even those with clean lifestyles. Just another fear hoax. They then used it as an excuse to inflict AZT on Africa, saying the continent was in epidemic. Massive hoax, and real people dying, making it an exception to my “no one dies” theory of herd management.
