What pandemic?

The definition of a “pandemic” is a an infectious disease that has spread over a whole country or the world. I am age seventy now, and have lived through … let’s see, looking back now … yeah, seventy pandemics. They are called “cold and flu season. The severity of a pandemic is measured by a concept known as “excess deaths,” that is, the number of deaths that occurred during the pandemic that are over and above the number of deaths that are normally expected to occur in that given time frame.

That in mind, please take a look at the table below the fold here that I stumbled upon at the Centers for Disease Control website (scroll down at that site).

The 8.88 you see there for 2020 are deaths per 1,000 people. The “Growth Rate” is the percentage increase in deaths in a given year over the year before. Note that the percentage increase in 2020 over 2019 is 1.12%, exactly the same as the percent increase of 2019 over 2018. The rate of growth spiked in 2014, and since that time the average rate of growth in the death rate each year is 1.22%. The 2020 death rate is .10% less than the average of the last seven years.

What pandemic?

This is a graphical representation of the same information projected out to 2100, the red dotted line being 2020. Green is above zero, red is blow zero. I know nothing of anything to the right of 2020 other than that people get paid to do this stuff. However, notice a spike in deaths around 2009, just to the left of the 2020 red dotted line. Up until that time the death rate had been in decline or was steadily negative. What happened in 2008/2009 to cause such a spike? There was certainly no pandemic other than normal cold and flu season. I can only speculate that the massive recession of that period lay behind the rise in numbers. But in mining the numbers a little bit, there doesn’t seem to be anything that stands out as abnormal. The death rate went up that year, and has been in slow decline since, 2020 no exception.

Ultimately I think the answer is that there is very little to be drawn from the data other than natural variability.

Oh, and also, one more thing … in 2020, there is no sign of a pandemic, no excess death toll in the United States.

PS: I am relying here on Centers for Disease Control, a major force behind the lies that make up our current scamdemic. There is that problem. It is not a reputable source.

PPS: Oregonmatt, polite as always, contacted me in person to note that I had missed the following warning at the CDC web page:

NOTE: All 2020 and later data are UN projections and DO NOT include any impacts of the COVID-19 virus.

First, it is understood that mortality tables generally lag … so that the 2020 data are probably going to be off. But it is safe to say that it doesn’t take a full year to get caught up. So there is going to be some mushiness in the 2020 data, as will be seen below. But then notion that it does not include any Covid 19 impacts, as the bulk of “Covid-19” deaths were in March – May of this year, appears ludicrous.

Second, exactly what are “Covid-19” deaths? Does anyone remember an article written by Yanni Gu “Courtesy of Genevieve Briand” at the Hopkins website on 11/22/20? It was quickly published and then taken down by Hopkins (I copied it fearing such an outcome), and the date suggests monkey business. Nonetheless, Briand provided us with this graph:

(That is about as big as I can make it without totally losing resolution.) The area highlighted in magenta on that graph shows the dramatic decreases in deaths from most causes in 2020.

Here are some money quotes from Briand in the Hopkins article:

Surprisingly, the deaths of older people stayed the same before and after COVID-19. Since COVID-19 mainly affects the elderly, experts expected an increase in the percentage of deaths in older age groups. However, this increase is not seen from the CDC data. In fact, the percentages of deaths among all age groups remain relatively the same.

“The reason we have a higher number of reported COVID-19 deaths among older individuals than younger individuals is simply because every day in the U.S. older individuals die in higher numbers than younger individuals,” Briand said. …

Briand also noted that 50,000 to 70,000 deaths are seen both before and after COVID-19, indicating that this number of deaths was normal long before COVID-19 emerged. Therefore, according to Briand, not only has COVID-19 had no effect on the percentage of deaths of older people, but it has also not increased the total number of deaths.

These data analyses suggest that in contrast to most people’s assumptions, the number of deaths by COVID-19 is not alarming. In fact, it has relatively no effect on deaths in the United States. …

This trend is completely contrary to the pattern observed in all previous years. Interestingly, as depicted in the table below, the total decrease in deaths by other causes almost exactly equals the increase in deaths by COVID-19. This suggests, according to Briand, that the COVID-19 death toll is misleading. Briand believes that deaths due to heart diseases, respiratory diseases, influenza and pneumonia may instead be recategorized as being due to COVID-19.  (My emphasis)

I tend to take Briand seriously in her work, noting that Hopkins may have deliberately released the data and then taken it down to discredit it, ergo the suspicious date. Note that on August 26, another spook date, the CDC, as cited by Miles W. Mathis:

… updated its site with aco-morbidities section, where they admit only about 6%of the reported deaths by Covid in the US in 2020 were due to Covid alone. The other 94% of deaths included an average of 2.6 other causes—although we still aren’t told which cause was primary. Most of these deaths were among the elderly, which means we can include one other co-morbidity: OLD AGE. This reduces the death-by-Covid number from 185,000 to about 11,000.

CDC then walked back on that, much as Hopkins did with Briand’s work. It is hard to understand why they do this … open up and speak honestly, and then back away. Maybe commenters can enlighten me. Nonetheless, I stand by this post, that CDC numbers indicate no pandemic. In 2019 the US had 2,839,205 deaths from all causes. The CDC lists here (scroll down to Table 2) 2,777,572 deaths as of 12/16/2020. Simple extrapolation yields total deaths for 2020 to be 2,896,272, a 2.01% increase as opposed to the .12% reported above in this blog post.  It is still entirely within the realm of probability, and nothing there indicates a pandemic.

  2. I’ve been trying to find a Baby Boomer birth chart to compare with the trends in death 70+ years later. We all gotta’ go sometime, so why wouldn’t the death graph resemble to some degree the birth rates in the 50s and 60s as boomers wink out?

      1. Was thinking of Oregonmatt and the “walking back” of original releases. The LA Times piece (although they do not cite where the CDC numbers came from) was sent to me from a friend in D.C. who is determined to make me believe in the pandemic, the excess deaths and the necessity of masks and vaccines. When Johns Hopkins or the CDC issues multiple sets of numbers people like my friend will pick the one that satisfies presupposition or confirmation bias. Everyone is locked into opposite understandings from the same alleged source. Divide and conquer.

    I just came back from my delicious lunch prepared by my neighbor friends. Pacho for the connaisseurs. And it is amazing how fast people can switch their thinking. They believe in the virus, but for a highly logical person it may be scary to see people’s doublethink so contrasted. Yet, with skill and tact you can bewalk the line and make eyes twinkle when you make them think for a second. And again.

    All those obnoxiously agnorant (not mine, but I of course praise and reuse the necessary Newspeak our fellow warriors come up with!) uncles at the Christmas dinner can be tackled easily with posts like this by Mark. There is no escape; the nonexistence of a pandemic is irrefutable.

    That is what I try to do and I see more efforts around me, so keep these short debunk posts as a special series or so.

    The blog is getting big, can you maybe make a top 10 on the left (the right is so full, but mobile probably it aligns there)? Especially the hugely reblogged post about the RNA sequence needs to be there, but more.

    I want to add a couple of questions to consider asking your friends and family in these times of reflection and looking aHEAD. as the days of Yule should be;

    1 – if a vaccine is made mandatory and I refuse, do you still want to see me?
    2 – where do you want to be if you are stuck somewhere for 5 years?
    3 – do you realize how much you are attached to the Building of the Beast and recognize your own expotential for detachment; corporate onslavement?

    If you let this opportunity of awakening slip, why are you even aLIVE.? What is the value of your aWAKEning if you don’t do anything with it (or go on on the same train like too many handicapped awakeners with the continuation of the same not working push-truth-in-face-and-hope-it-sticks methods)?

    NOW is the time.

        Because it is irrelevant. They KNOW the death numbers of each month for the US. So this cannot be a “projection” anymore, 9 (!) months in.

        this is just an empty disclaimer made to make people not use these data.

        A cheap trick.

        In a real “Black Death Stories” pandemic, with bodies piling up in the streets, ok, then it is different, but still every death is registered like last years, no change in that or at least not major, we didn’t end up in some AnarChaos where death numbers suddenly have to be “projected”….

          But you see how much of a boost that should be for you and your family to not give up, apply the lessons of truth seeking and actively resist against this tyranny they poured over us?!

          Of course the best option is to live, but that requires change.

          Life 9 months into this war is a choice between two options:

          Change yourself (do) or kill yourself (don’t)

          I just recorded a solo Mollycast about this, released after Christmas I think. Defeatists and other New Normies should remove themselves from our tribe of truth and thus progress. Ideally through change.

          Self cleansing is highly necessary, else every resistance fails.

    But there is one thing that you should pay a great attention.
    Ant that is – The pandemic definition, and criteria.
    I strongly recommend that You… well as a matter of fact everyone should, dig out the early beginnings of this scam. That dates to year 2009.
    Exactly on the may 04 2009. WHO changed their definition of pandemic and along with that, the criteria of “calling it”, as they are the only one that can “call it”.
    So their (WHO’s) definition of pandemic until 05.04.2009 was:
    “An influenza pandemic occurs when a new influenza virus appears against which the human population has no immunity, resulting in several, simultaneous epidemics worldwide with enormous numbers of deaths and illness.”
    On 05.04.2009. they simply changed word “enormous” with the word “elevated”.
    Now, you must try really hard to dig that information out on internet, since they gave their best to hide it. They even changed their own previous definition from years ago on their site, but you can find it as quoted in number of sites and mainly medical sites from 2009 and even earlier.
    There is a very, very interesting story behind this, along with their excuses for doing it.

    1. So this is evidence that this was in planning stages in 2009, 11 years ago. WHO’s authority (or legitimacy) is not questioned anywhere except by the likes of us. However, I maintain that excess deaths is critical, so that they can call something a pandemic, but the severity has to be measured. Every year we have cold and flu season, a pandemic, some relatively mild, some more severe. 2020, with thus far no unusual excess death toll, is a benign pandemic, cold and flu, not Covid-19.

        All of us (awakened) are aware of these facts. The problem is that we have to find their weak link.
        The low numbers of death are obvious, and we are perfectly aware of that from the beginning, but if you “call it” on them, they would simply reply that lower numbers are the result of introducing measures, like quarantines, lock-downs, mask wearing, etc.
        They have an answer for almost every question raised. They pulled this scam very well prepared.
        We have to dig much deeper and find something that they can’t simply explain (lie about).
        It’s very hard. I’m digging since the day one, and won’t stop.
        For example… People should be aware or simply informed of the fact that the WHO declared pandemic based on
        “prognoses” of Neil’s Ferguson faulty software. The software that was giving totally unreliable predictions repeatedly (with the same inputs) Investigate the facts that this software was analyzed by a group of very skilled programers that concluded that every time, with the same parameters, software gave different results… etc.

Interestingly the WHO, immediately after they were rumbled over wiping the wayback machine, half-heartedly watered down their new [October 2020] definition of herd immunity with a brief mention of immunity through previous infection.
