Pssst! Montana Democrats – a word please?

All of this talk about Bryan Schweitzer as a potential presidential or VP candidate … knock it off please. It’s about as likely as a snow storm in the Sahara.

I like Governor Schweitzer, by the way. He ain’t perfect by any means, but he leads, he fights, he’s clever. I wish such a man would use is skills to progressive ends more often, but at least with him we get a few things.

But he needs to be an executive. I don’t see him as a Senator, what with endless meeting and hearings … he’d go crazy. So forget about that.

And president? VP? He’s from Montana, fer chrissakes! He wears bolo ties and jeans. He’s essentially honest, for a politician. (It’s a profession where lying is necessary, a tool of the trade, essential for binding diverse constituencies, so I give him great leeway in that regard.)

Obama is a natural for president. He has charisma, and is dishonest to the core, a con man and a tool of power. Honestly, you think Schweitzer would be good in that role? You think that little of him?

    1. I love it! We have us a muckraker here, doing what used to be called journalism before the profession went soft. Anyone interested click on “mejustice” above to got to the website. I’d be very interested in any hushed up scandals around the governor’s office.

    1. Pretty awful. In Oregon, we found out, insurance companies lobbied the legislature and got an important law changed – if you are entitled to a liability settlement in a automobile accident, say $100,000, and there are also medical bills that the insurer had to pay on your behalf, the insurer can sue you to tap the settlement. In other words, they have combined their obligations into one, and are the injured party and can lay claim to the settlement.

In the case you mention, the money is not the issue. They are using the courts to throw a wrench in the gears, as they know that you can’t afford to take them on. They have also passed “tort reform” so you can’t sue them. Seems to me you are a tort reform guy. You’re an enabler.

Thank god Obama passed health care reform. Now we don’t have to do business with them. Oh. Wait ..
