Years ago a former Washington Post editor, Ben Bagdikian, lamented that “When 50 men and women, chiefs of their corporations, control more than half the information and ideas that reach 220 million Americans, it is time for Americans to examine the institutions from which they receive their daily picture of the world.”
Today the number is more like five – Time-Warner, Viacom, Newscorp, Disney, Gannett – that’s the vast majority of our “news” dissemination process. Of course it’s not that simple but the important understanding about American news is that a handful of people have overarching influence over what we see and read.

Take an event like the Boston Bombing, which I now know to be a hoax complete with a smoke bomb, actors, directors, prior amputees and news photographers all playing a role. That would not have been possible when we had even fifty news organizations, much less the thousands that once occupied our landscape.
The Internet is useful, but the event managers in Boston controlled the images, getting rid of almost all independent photographers. The only clear footage, supplied by Bloomberg and the Boston Globe (owned by the New York Times), has to be analyzed in great detail. Naturally, zooming in on various aspects produces blurred images, and due to the blur, people immediately avoid it. It takes concentration to see what is going on, and we can not really be certain.
The YouTube below was not authorized, and so bears close scrutiny. Set aside your cringe reaction at seeing blood and gore – it’s not real.
The video is full of clues as to the fake nature of the event. Here’s just one, right around 41 seconds. One of the people supposedly attending to the injured looks up and notices the unauthorized photographer, from at least fifty feet away!
He’s pointing at the person taking the photos. Keep in mind that certain photographers were allowed to cover the event – it was treated as off-limits for all others. The Boston Globe footage was odd in that the photographer panned above the scene of the gore until all the actors were in place and bloodied up, probably prearranged. He then panned down below for the money shots. Anyway, this guy is yelling at this man to get the unauthorized photographer out.
Shortly thereafter a policeman forces the photographer off the scene. On the way out, we encounter this:
It is at least a half-block away from the supposed bomb site. The victim is all alone, and has an apparently bloody foot. There’s no sign of any other damage around him. It must have been a stray piece of shrapnel, right?
Right at 40 seconds into the clip, pay attention to this man:
In a wink, he will empty a bag of white power of some kind on the goings-on behind the crouched people and then vamoose. What is it? I have no clue, but have read speculation that it is the gray powder used to simulate explosive dust found on many of the victims, as with this one:
Note also the fake quality of the wounds on Nichole Gross’s legs – that is apparently some kind of adhesive skin – you can even see the patch lines. It’s a very poor quality fake injury, but she is one good looking woman, and is in a state of shock, and that carries the day. (Gross: : I broke both lower legs, distal tibia and fibula, and my left leg and then have nearly severed Achilles tendon on the right foot and just some open gashes that were closed up from the blast and hearing loss.)
Erika Brannock. Shortly after the event, a person posted here that Skip Downing’s daughter had lost her leg in the incident. That information was being circulated among his friends and acquaintances, qualifying now as an urban legend. Research into Erika and her supposed mother, Carol Downing, leads to a bunch of cut-and-paste photos and confusion. Carol Downing has varying body types, and in one photo, two neck cords that reach completely out and attach directly to her chin, making her a circus attraction:
Her hand atop her thigh covers more than half of it. This is a runner’s build, someone who has pounded out miles on the pavement, creating a unnaturally thin lower body as needed for long races.
Here’s another photo of Carol Downing, this after the Boston Marathon bombing, in a TV interview:
Note now that the chin is normal and pronounced, the thighs are full and not like a runner’s ait all, and that her hand covers barely a third of them. These are not the same bodies. No angle or light source can make large matronly thighs into emaciated runner’s thighs.
Erika and her sister, Nichole and brother-in-law, Michael Gross, appear in TV interviews. Michael is nowhere to be found in the bombing area, but here is a photo of Erica below:

That’s the full knee joint, more precisely, a knee attached to a prosthetic. The red markings are the point where the stump ends, and the prosthetic begins.
Assuming that this is Erika in the photo, here’s a comparison photo of post-amputation Erika. You can see that in the on-site photo, we were looking at the stmp we see here, with a prosthetic attached below.
The “Downing” family is probably a collection of people from different walks of life, and if indeed Erika is the true daughter of Skip and Carol, she had an unfortunate accident long before the Boston Marathon. I have searched high and low for a photo of Skip Downing, who is known to be real, and Carol Downing, as pictured here. No luck. If you have one, please post it in the comments below. My suspicion at this time is that the Carol we see here is not real-life Carol. The question is, what did the Downings receive in return for participation in this hoax?

Oh well, no one will be convinced by this, as readers are predisposed to believe official truth, and this all goes against that grain. So in seeing these photos, we will be witness to the most odd of phenomena in American opinion management: Skepticism! Yes, you’ll be skeptical of every photo here, every word written here.
But regarding the information handed down by the five media giants, not an ounce. It’s all in the power of suggestion by an authoritative source. If only we had fifty news sources, many cameras on hand and many outlets for photos, the event would have been accurately depicted, or more accurately, the event would not have happened. The risk of being caught would be too high.

Swede, you’ve got to let go of Jones. The people we are dealing with who give us these events know that a certain part of the public won’t buy into the lies and also that secrets will get out. So they also give us “ops”, or agents like Alex Jones. Some of what he says might be true, but he’s not trustworthy. His purpose is to poison the well, make everyone who is suspicious of official truth look like angry nut balls.
Yes, they are that clever. What he does is called a “limited hangout.” He needs to be seriously ignored.
If I knew names, I’d give them to you. There are a few names of participants in Boston like the amputees and Richard Serino, but their degree of conscious involvement in a deliberate media hoax is questionable. The amputees are probably just props and Serino was likely unaware the event would be portrayed in the media as real.

I’m not Jones follower. Frankly you have more in common with him than me. A 9/11 truther and a disbeliever in the accepted theory of the Boston attack. He also thinks the media is intertwined with the banks and they fall at the feet of the Bilderbergs.
Which is incorrect all be it interesting. The difference between you is the fact that he shows motive, were as you just state inconsistencies and quit.

Some of your best writing. Do you even know what a “Bilderberger” is? I don’t. And what is it that creates “accepted theory”? You might review the title of this post, “The Power of Suggestion.”
I know the motives behind these false flag events: heightened tension. The American public does not support wars willy nilly, and needs a cause. It used to be communists under every bed, and now it is terrorists under every bed. Because neocons wanted a major military offensive in the Mideast in the late 1990’s, they needed, and created a “New Pearl Harbor” (their words, not mine). Since that time, and especially since the “death” of Osama, we’ve been given regular booster shots of new tragedies, constant reinforcement of fear, the “strategy of tension”.

That is motive. I’ve been writing about it for months, if not years. I’ve been clear about it. I know why they do it, and since Boston have been writing about how they did it. This event is most interesting as there do not appear to be real casualties.
You also want to know “who.” Good question. All I can tell you is that it is power behind power, and that people who oppose this power often die. Call it “fascism” or some other term, but it’s as old as Cain killing Able.

You’ve immersed yourself so completely into American non-interference by way of lectures and books. I can’t imagine the volumes/pages of Anti-American crap you’ve digested, so much so it prevents you from any acknowledgement of patriotism.
So when another country interferes/attacks/murders American citizens on American soil your brain short circuits. Becomes incomprehensible, does not compute. You twist and turn logic to verify your belief system while sacrificing the stigma of looking nutty and joining Alex, Woody Harrelson, Jessie Ventura, Rosie O’Donnell, and Charlie Sheen. A club which on an intellectual scale scores severals points below you.

I don’t understand why I should be patriotic. It’s just another irrational belief system, like religion, belief without evidence. But there is objective reality, and the search for that is an unending quest.
Did another country attack and kill Americans on American soil? Probably not. I’ve seen no evidence that convinces me of that, only authority figures who cite other authority figures. So you’ve got that, but nothing else. You’re just a true believer.

I don’t know how you could watch that video and think the guy tending to the injured A) noticed the photographer and B) was yelling for someone to get him away. He seemed to be yelling at that woman who was holding the bandana about something…my first instinct based on the looks on their faces and actions would be get some other kind of item to use or someone else to help. The fact you presume otherwise I would chalk up to your own suggestibility as you were probably led to that conclusion by some source you view as authoritative. I would speculate it was probably a conspiracy based website of some sort. As for the person who seemed to be about 25-30 yards from the blast site doesn’t seem to be much of stretch to think he/she could have been injured and staggered that far in shock before going to the ground. I see nothing at all in that video that seems suspicious I was expecting more as it was the lead in here.
As for the photos in one the older ladies legs definitely look skinnier in one of the photos. This is evidence of……what exactly? I haven’t followed this too closely in regards to this lady other than reading your back and forth with Steve T where I seem to recall he told you he knows these people or something along those lines. Not knowing anything about this woman as you do I don’t see how you can come to the conclusion that there is not a plausible explanation for the apparently different look of the legs in the photos but I do agree it seems odd. Ill put that as a point in your favor…although I could give you a dozen different pictures of anyone (myself included) where in some the person looks in fantastic shape and in some the person looks like a fatass. Cameras can be deceiving but as I said it does appear to be a discrepancy. As for the lady on the ground who was injured you cant see the back of what appears to be her knee so you have no way of knowing if in fact the damage was so extensive that the entire joint would need to be removed even if the front “appeared” to be intact in that photo.

Direct eye contact with photographer by both the man pointing and the cop, followed soon thereafter with the disperser. Hard to interpret it as anything else. I’ve watch lots of this stuff, and most times do not clearly see what is going on due to blurring, but this is clear.
So you know the guy and his story on first glimpse. See a blood trail? I don’t.
Erika Brannock, you’ve surely must admit, shows no signs of injury. So you filled in the blanks yourself in favor of the official story saying that yes, the injury is there, but we cannot see it. That’s all. Hard to deal with such arguments, as you bring suppositions to support official truth in to please you as you go.
Regarding Carole Downing, here’s the full photo that I clipped from:
The gal on the left is real in every respect, no signs of fudging anywhere. Carol, in the middle, is not the same body as in the TV shot above, unless this photo was taken at a time when she weighed 50 pounds less. Possible, but the neck straps attached to the chin indicated monkey business. My guess, head appended to new body. Anyway, facial features change with dramatic weight gain or loss, and Carol Downing in the first photo in the post is the spittin’ image of the face in this photo, above the chin straps – same hair length and style, everything.
Erika Brannock is the gal on the right, and this might be her in total, but there are signs of fooling around with the photo, nothing conclusive like the chinstraps on Carol. If it is Photoshopped, it is a very good job, as sunglasses might have been inserted along with extra hair on the neck to blur lines … even so, well done. So I go along with this being Erika with reservations, and do note if you will that you cannot see below here left knee. This is true of all “Erika Brannock” shots we’ve seen. The current Erika, too, is a much heavier woman than in this shot.
Honestly, the whole event falls apart on close inspection, but the problem is as I stated in the last paragraph, that you only get skeptical when someone contradicts official truth. Otherwise, you simply do not question anything. Answer honestly – would you even look twice at any of these photos and videos if I had not brought them to you? Would you question their content, even for a second?

Sure. Contrary to what you may believe I have long been a frequent peddler & traveler of conspiracy theories. I just don’t buy into this one w/ the crises actors. Its too kooky and illogical. Stick to the bombers as dupes and their relationship with the feds. If there is anything to find that’s where it is.

I am at a loss to know what is kooky or illogical about using actors in a mass causality drill when actors are always used in mass casualty drills. The only difference is this one, like all the drills going on on 9/11, was “flipped live” in terms of media reporting. That’s all this is – a media event.
Some of these people obviously knew what was up, like Vogt and the guy with the hat and convenient flag who wheeled him out. But the rest might just be caught up in it. Have you missed all of the reports (not on mainstream news) about people being told not to worry, that it was a drill, as the fake victims were being dressed up in their wounds. That is how it is done in mass casualty drills – everything is treated as real by the participants. I guess you missed all of that. Actors are very common in these affairs. That’s why there’s an agency here in Denver that recruits them – nothing nefarious. It’s a business filling a need.
They did appear to recruit maybe six or seven real amputees for this event. Somehow they are being paid, maybe straight cash, maybe new limbs.
Let’s wait for something that would indicate real injuries: Lawsuits. So far, there have been none. You’d think those dreaded trial lawyers would be swarming.

Too many security risks and all of it unnecessary. One person goes to RT.com and gives exclusive interview. Maybe they are too stupid to be afraid of the repercussions or mentally unbalanced, too honest, etc. Random people used in your typical mass casualty drill are not vetted for clearance in the way a person normally privy to such information would be. Too many loose ends. Doesn’t make sense. Too risky. Something like that could blow the doors off the entire national security apparatus.

That’s a really good point. Three things work against it, in my view:
One, the media filters all news, and nothing gets through those filters. That was my point about media monopoly – there’s just a few outlets for news that reaches 99%. (RT does indeed run these stories to a degree, and is all over the Tsarnaev matter, but it is foreign media, so 99% of Americans don’t go there.)
Two, the public is conditioned to automatically disbelieve information that does leak out as a “conspiracy theory,” so even if you yell it from a mountain top, you’re branded as a kook and it has no effect;
And three, something keeps them quiet. In my decades of interest in this subject I’ve found that people, if they speak out, wait many decades or leave the country.* If they speak up, they could DIAF or meet an untimely bullet or car accident. They are quietly warned to shut up, and the smart ones do. The brash ones are murdered.
*Lee Oswald had a girlfriend in New Orleans in the summer of 1963. She kept quiet for over 40 years, then went public with her book Lee and Me. She is now in hiding somewhere abroad, Sweden if I understand correctly. You would think that once the information is out in public, the game is over, but not so: even in that situation she would be killed as a message to anyone else who is thinking about speaking up. It is a very thorough system of information containment with very severe penalties for speaking up.

To each his own. For me, that’s all SOP, old hat. I’ve seen it a thousand times. You do the crime, set up the patsy, kill the patsy, close the case. The intel agencies (and they are really blended at this time) run a stable of patsies for such purposes. Richard Reid, 19 hijackers, Osama himself, Umar Abdulmutallab, Lee Oswald, John Hinckley – all used for that purpose.
The questions there, to me anyway, are “why Chechens?”, and “Why was no one actually killed?” It is, to an old hack like me, fascinating.
