You feel it, I merely give it a name

We had a very busy weekend, with a mountain hike, hours spent on a large carpentry project (which a real carpenter could knock off in two), a family birthday gathering that consumed all of last evening, and a couple of hours spent watching the movie Wonderland. My wife also handily dispatched me in a game of Super Scrabble.

I only mention all of that because in the midst of all of that, I also spent hours reading about the Boston Marathon bombing and viewing photographs thereof. The photos are of a very high quality, and of course it is easily seen that the events are staged, that there were no real injuries, that crisis actors were used, and any amputees after were amputees before.

I am tempted to go on a long rant about the particulars, but anyone who is curious about it can find that information. Here is just a summary, and I am deliberately limiting myself to 100 words:

There were no destructive devices used that day, no shrapnel or pressure cookers. It appears that the some of the actors were gathered inside the Lens Crafters store, and assembled outside after a loud explosion a couple of stories above. The area is quickly emptied, and “victims” appear. They are laboriously drenched in blood and fitted with devices imitating bloody stumps. “Medical” personnel, indifferent to victims, wander about as the major players are dressed and presented to waiting cameras – Jeff Bauman, Krystie Campbell, Sidney Corcoran, et al. Other victims, not present, will appear in staged hospital scenes. That’s 97 words.

I have more important matters to address:

  • I took time. I spent probably 3-4 hours looking at the visual evidence. But I had to go find it. If I were a typical citizen, I would wait for information to fall in my lap via the television and Huffington Post.
  • This is yet another use of the “conspiracy theory” meme. People are curious, but that curiosity is dulled by mainstream media saturation of the “correct” description of events. Real curiosity is stymied by fear of branding, ridicule and marginalization.
  • What’s with the pictures? Just about every image seen by mainstream viewers was vetted by the Boston Globe, CNN and other palace guards. Yet I was able to look at high quality stills, about 216 of them. If every other outlet is guarded and output heavily censored, why is it so easy for me to find these 216 stills? That’s a real question, not rhetorical. Something is amiss.
  • Man, the power of suggestion. I watched a video of a TV news reporter interviewing a doctor who had supposedly been on the scene helping victims, and the reporter says “Look at you. You’re covered in blood.” But the doctor has not a drop of blood on him.

I have deliberately not linked to anything nor grabbed any images, but easily could. I am not your curiosity. If you have any, you have to feed it yourself. But if you are tempted and stop in your tracks right here, fearing “conspiracy” talk, understand the power of thought control. The fear that stops you from looking further goes by that name.

      1. I usually don’t read 4/20. I read or scan all the lefty blogs except that one. They’re goofy for the most part. They’re the rainbow people of the blogosphere, the kind that dance on the tables in the Capital rotunda and call it a great victory. The rightwing luvs them kinda lefties, the unwashed! What I do find interesting about this current story is that the ACLU is now involved.

        1. Funny that, Larry. Not a one of the writers at 4&20, now or previously, has ever danced on a table in the Capitol. Nor are we “unwashed.” And we all work full or nearly full time for a living.

Then again, the Environmental Rangers have some interesting things to say in and about the Capitol. Wonder what the rightwingers have to SAY about this sort of DIATRIBE:

“Say for example, regarding the proposed mine on the Blackfoot River, the Rangers simply said no WAY was that mine going in without a fight, either by legal means or otherwise… We like to say the we are the final part of the permitting process… Fortunately, it never came down to a shooting war. Well, the Rangers had to go down there to Helena and set them morons straight! Chucky’s bizarre, undemoncratic nonsensical bill never made it outta committee after the Rangers had a little chat with the committee! Guess that they didn’t have the stomache for a war either! But that’s part of who we are. We make groups like Earth First look moderate! More later.”

Make EF! look moderate? Is that what you guys did at Cove Mallard? I guess if you take the word “nonviolent” out of “nonviolent direct action” it can make EF! look moderate.

Love ya, man… nice to know you guys had our backs once upon a time.

          1. I would love to have your backs again. Please allow me to post on 4/20.. Hell, even Larry Kurtz, an old Missoulaner is my buddy. He let’s me post. The Rangers, admittedly, are growing old. We ain’t what we used to be, but we’re still here and itchin’ to fight the corporate fascist bastards. Please let your enviro buddies know that we’re still here, still in shape for old men, and fully prepared for deployment wherever needed. Just say the word and we’ll be there. The really great thing about growing old is that you get even grouchier! We have zero tact left. Now, it’s to the nuts without passing go.

            1. I’ve got no real say or administrative access to either ban or unban any commenter. Fwiw, I haven’t had any commenters banned in my time writing at 4&20. I’ll see what I can do…

              1. If anything is worth a double face-palm, that is. You have no “real say” but yet you alter comments, delete comments and close threads … you have even done so against the proprietor of this very website who you post your sad humanist lament on. Hehehe.

Mark likes you. You agree with him sometimes, and he thinks you write good stuff that needs to be read. I’m certain he’ll let your sad self-defense stand, and not my laughing at your obvious BS. (That’s why I’ll copy it to paste elsewhere.) Larry is asking you to get a message out, and I’m certain that you’ll let him, as long as he doesn’t even remotely question your control of reality. That is how drama works, is it not?

                1. Thus spaketh the DickWad. If you could quit the auto-fellation for a few minutes you might realize that Word Press has diffrent levels of admin. folks can moderate comments and not have full admin access. And so what if JC fucks with comments? Not like you’ve never done it.

                  1. “DickWad”? Is that the best you got, ‘jackhole’? And what the hell does ‘auto-fellation’ mean? I’ve got a machine that blows me every time JC acts like a drama-queen? Or that I can blow myself? (At which point, I certainly wouldn’t waste time commenting on the Intertubes. Still, it’s an intriguing possibility. Have your Mom describe it to you sometime …)

Here’s the problem, “jackson”. You tell me that JC can’t do exactly what he’s done and I point out clearly that he’s done because he doesn’t ‘own’ the website; and then tell me that it’s okay that he has clearly done what I’ve said he’s done because I do similar things at a website I clearly own and pay for. Yeah, you’ve just painted one of us a hypocrite and it ain’t me. Think about that on the bus to middle school tomorrow …

                1. I think I spoke some uncomfortable truths. And that’s too bad. I think I must’a hit too close to home somewheres. But you know me, I call’em as I see’em regardless of whom I offend. A friend suggested that maybe my criticisms of O’Bamacare got me censored.

                    1. Let’s just say I’m taking a sabbatical to sort some things out. It’s time. I need it, and cowgirl needs it. And really, I ask this in all seriousness, what’s left to say? Not much. In my mind, the fascist takeover is complete. It’s game over. The systems are no longer in place to effect change. Them days are over. The only thing left is direct action. EFFECTIVE direct action. And that’s where I’ll probably expend my energies. When you hear of an horrific event taking place at some obscure pipeline somewhere, think me. Hell, the Kockh brothers can blow up nearly an entire Canadian small town with impunity. Why can’t we? Go and do likewise. Time to go Ninja.

                    2. The new cowgirl is not very entertaining. Very boring over there lately. It is a bit of a head scratcher that Larry can get banned for spamming but somehow norma durfy is still allowed to roam free. She was and is far more annoying than Larry. Larry is clearly insane but actually has some interesting things to add.

                    3. Duffy is quite a spectacle, clearly playing in the shallow end of the pool. But after the conversation here I realized that there are very few people left who comment throughout the blogs I frequent. Eventually it will die. But I’ll still be writing.

                  1. Or, you were leaving 50%+ of the comments and the Cowgirl felt you were driving readers away. Larry, it may not be about you, and far more about how you behaved and the effect you have/had. Quit using it as evidence you are a victim, and rather discern what actually happened, please? (Craig won’t seem to accept the difference, either way, as long as his agenda is served …)

                    1. Nope. Never a victim. Never claimed to be. Just a proponent of free speech. I’m OK with getting the boot. I had a great run. I’ve no complaints at al. What’s sad though is that when you go to any major site, like say Huffpo, the comment section is great! It’s a free for all, no holds barred. I like that kinda stuff. I LIKE to know that not all lefties are wussies. It’s refreshing and encouraging to see folks fight back, even if only in the blogs. Makes me think that I’m in Wisconsin along with the Native Americans fighting for the environment, or in their capitol getting arrested, or with the Nez Pierce over in Idaho fighting the mega loads.

But victim? No. You see, I realized looong ago that there ain’t no cavalry comin’. Ya simply gotta do it yourself. And that is what the Rangers have always done. We accept that. Oh sure, it would be wonderful if the people rose up at the last minute and joined in, but that ain’t gonna happen. I’ll simply follow my own code and my own creed. It’s all I can do.

                    2. I did no such thing, Craig, unless as you seem incapable of doing, you wish to argue that I did. Did MTCowgirl ban Larry? That hasn’t been established, save to you. And you understand why the unestablished happened? You have miles to go before you sleep, Craig.

                    3. Rob, really???? You wrote the following ending with a period, not a question mark. “Or, you were leaving 50%+ of the comments and the Cowgirl felt you were driving readers away.” That’s a statement. Then you proceeded to further chastise Larry. So, how is it you seem to have knowledge of how Cowgirl could ban Larry? Or were you just talking out your ass… again.
