What does it really mean to be “woke,” and how can you tell if you’ve experienced it? Can you even spot it in others? Awakening isn’t something that happens overnight. It’s not a quick fix, a flashy moment, or some energy rush up your spine. Ironically, people who loudly claim to be “awakened” often miss the point entirely. True awakening is more like peeling back layers—each realization uncovers more to understand.
Being truly “woke” isn’t about acting superior or forcing your views on others. It’s about living in a way that encourages understanding and inspires change. An awakened person doesn’t preach—they show through their actions and mindset. Real growth comes from stepping into the unknown, planting seeds of insight, and embodying the changes you want to see. Judging others or locking yourself into one way of thinking? That’s not awakening. True wokeness is about living fully and engaging with the world, not shutting it out.
Instead of pushing your beliefs onto others, stay present and open to learning from different perspectives. We’re all students and teachers for each other. Awakening isn’t about isolating yourself or critiquing everyone else; it’s about embodying the values you talk about. If you’re seeking genuine awakening, remember it’s rooted in love, connection, and growth. Ask yourself: are you here to lift others up and support them, or are you just enjoying the feeling of being “better” than them? Awakening means connecting with something beyond our senses and living that truth every day.
Case in point: What was supposed to be a simple birthday treat devolved into the latest flashpoint after “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg implied that a New York bakery refused to take her order because of her liberal politics. It’s an accusation that the bakery has denied. Now, the store is claiming that an influx of orders has flooded its phone lines as local residents show their support for the small business.
I can’t help but wonder what cut Goldberg got from the spike in sales, all thanks to the free nationwide promotion.

Good points. So hilarious about the bakery but I like to think it wasn’t a cynical setup so Whoopi could make some cash. Good idea though to make money and it’s essentially how they psyop us all the time.
This is from a reddit post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/OutOfTheLoop/comments/15dntkk/what_is_going_on_with_people_recently_saying_that/
“When someone is asking a right wing person what they mean by woke, it’s usually a trap to get the right winger person to admit they’re using “woke” to disparage anti-racism, anti-sexism, or just about any other stance that is inherently against treating other people with respect.
Very similar to when someone complains “You can’t say anything anymore without someone getting offended” and someone presses them specifically for what they can not say and it always boils down to be some racist/sexist/ableist/homophobic dog whistle.”
I’m not right-wing (or at least I never thought I was) nor am I woke and what I find with woke people is that they simply do not support free speech. You always have that sense of taboo with them that you can’t say stuff and it’s not pro-racist/sexist stuff that you want to say it’s stuff like, “The alleged covid pandemic is a total psyop and crime against humanity.” They really, really don’t like it if you say stuff like that.
What woke people have no sense of is that they subscribe to a dogma of what is allowed to be said and what isn’t … meaning they only respect the rights of certain people and not others.

Kevin, damn you! I came here to write a post called “Hugh Jass”, and it will appear in a few days, after dust settles. How dare you! Here I am with my feet stuck in mud, unable to move my toes as I repeat the same motions again and again, and you bring in new gyrations to set me free. I might walk and write freely again due to you.
I am reading a book titled “We Have Never Been Woke” by Musa Al-Gharbi, after reading a review of it in National Review. This morning I got to page 35 (starting on 32?) and thought after reading the paragraph below, “Teacher, may I be excused? My brain is full.” (Reference to a Far Side cartoon where the student has a very small head compared to his classmates.) It’s an intellectual and academic treatment of wokeness, and consequently, boooooring.
*”Cisgender”: Describes a person whose gender identity corresponds to their sex assigned at birth, i.e., someone who is not transgender. You know, virtually all of us.
Anyway, thanks for this post, and I hope it brings lots of attention and comments.

Sorry for multiple posts, they were blocking then all went through.
Woke is broke. That sounds about right. Because I believe much of the woke agenda comes from lawyers and grifters.
“We just want the money, honey!” Stick ’em up! The latest woke swindle is a shakedown of the white guilt crowd. I was listening to Mark’s ex-gal pal Amy Goodman yesterday interviewing some dude with a vaguely foreign Middle Eastern accent, who was a lawyer representing one of the hundreds of organizations with the name “climate justice” in them. Anyhow, he claimed third world countries are now losing $5 trillion! (yes trillion!) dollars every year due to climate change. And they be taking whitey (the Western nations composed of a lot of woke, indoctrinated rich kids) to court to get what these global lawyers deserve – a gravy train of trillions flowing into their pocket from American and European taxpayers. As a compromise, they are willing to take $1.4 trillion a year and settle (I am serious, he did mention that figure as a compromise settlement), and let the white guilt crowd keep their properties, SUVs, and international trips.

It’s all just printed debt obligations at this point. Why don’t they just give us all a million dollars each and get this party started?

Indeed. With Automation and all the improvements in technology we should be living like the Jetsons. It’s quite humorous to look back at articles from the 1960s etc where they were predicting 20 hour, or less work weeks.

Trans women are not women, there wouldn’t be that “trans” word before the word women otherwise. A “woman” with a willy and fake boobs is not a woman.
So easy to grasp for almost everybody except the woke retards.
Oh, and I still stand with what I wrote last year or so. If my partner ever tells me she saw a trans woman 6 ft tall with a hairy chest and a wig in a public restroom where she was too, there’s going to be problems.
I’m not from the US and we don’t all buy into this woke shit here.
I don’t care who’s in charge at the White House now or in the future but it’s about time they stopped accepting that fake women enter women’s sports…and restrooms.
