I took just a little foray this morning into the World of Wiki (WOW), and come away disheartened at the blatant lies and propaganda committed by our online encyclopedia.
WOW maintains that it is privately founded/funded, but I doubt it, and for good reason. It’s a confidence game, that is:
“…a fraudulent scheme where the perpetrator deceives a victim by gaining their trust..”
Long before WOW, there was Snopes, written about here on occasion, so nothing new. SNOPES was a confidence game, and again said to be a private venture. That aspect of it for both WOW and SNOPES is essential – we must, when looking over their results, not suspect they are Intel, or Spooks. Hence we look to founding by little people interested only in sound research and reporting, and not to a giant monolith set in place, as former CIA Director William Casey (tenure 1981-1987) is said to have said (his statement supported by some evidence), that
“We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false”
Now that statement is disputed (by Wikipedia, for one), and while I can see why, I can also see why it might be falsely attributed to him, or anyone. I’m an old elephant these days, wandering about stepping on my trunk, and so know after a long time ingesting our known truth, news, and science, that just about everything we are told to believe is false. If Casey did not say that, then he just forgot to do so.
Anyway, I wanted it know to parameters of the Little Ice Age, which according to Greenland Ice Cores ran from circa 1250-1860.

Take a look at the graph that WOW is using! Recognize it? If not, it is Michael Mann’s long discredited Hockey Stick! It won’t die, go away, or even stop with the expert links and citations, including Wikipedia, which is strong evidence of the era of corrupt science in which we live.

The Greenland Ice Sheet Project Two (GISP2) begs to differ with Michael Mann, who oddly (or not!) chose to use tree rings rather than ice cores to measure temperatures for the last 2000 years. As discussed in an earlier post, Mann’s Hockey Stick was a public relations (PR) project, and not actual science. Its object much the same as that famous photo of the Hindenburg in disintegration, to shock us into frontal lobe awareness of something false. Indeed a dirigible did burn up, but there my weak comparison ends, as there is nothing behind the Hockey Stick, no science or hard data, just advertising techniques. Don Draper might have been involved.
Anyway, note how with the above graphic, that temperature intervals can heighten or diminish the peaks and troughs shown. Below is some of the same data presented in a different manner:

Still, and independent evidence corroborates this, we did enjoy periods of unprecedented warmth that we label Minoan, Roman, and Medieval. During those times civilization advanced and thrived. During the Little Ice Age, we suffered and contracted. We had shorter growing seasons, worse winters, crop failures, famines and population decline. (Iceland lost of half its population.)
I am only writing this because even though repetitive, I am fed up with Wikipedia and Michael Mann, and needed to vent. I want to quote WOW again, if only to show the extent of its lies:
“The loss of mass of the Greenland ice sheet has been accelerating due to the effects of climate change caused by human activities.”
Here is WOW on ice loss on the Greenland Ice Sheet:
Every summer, parts of the surface melt and ice cliffs calve into the sea. Normally the ice sheet would be replenished by winter snowfall,[4] but due to global warming the ice sheet is melting two to five times faster than before 1850,[17] and snowfall has not kept up since 1996.[18] If the Paris Agreement goal of staying below 2 °C (3.6 °F) is achieved, melting of Greenland ice alone would still add around 6 cm (2+1⁄2 in) to global sea level rise by the end of the century. If there are no reductions in emissions, melting would add around 13 cm (5 in) by 2100,[19]: 1302 with a worst-case of about 33 cm (13 in).[20] For comparison, melting has so far contributed 1.4 cm (1⁄2 in) since 1972,[21] while sea level rise from all sources was 15–25 cm (6–10 in) between 1901 and 2018.[22]: 5
I would call that apocryphal, or simply false, data without proper perspective. Below is an example of how to tell lies, and make them stick. To the left is a small portion of a graph showing a period of ice loss for Greenland. To make this graph as dramatic as possible, the authors compressed both the x and y axis’s, done to make good drama:

On the right is the same information in a different format. See that flat line on the right? That is the information contained on the left, but placed in perspective.
I hesitate to show this because most people shy away from graphs, but this one is simple and straightforward. On the left is our news media, on the right the same data with just a tad of real evidence added. The left is dramatic! The right it is pretty damned boring.
The news media and scientists tell us that Greenland and Antarctica have lost 6.4 TRillion TONS of ice in the last three decades. What that really means is that in a period of thirty years, Greenland has lost less than 1 percent of of its total ice mass. That is very near undetectable. It would help if people understood scale, but news media knows that is not the case, and exploits it.
Oh well, on and on it goes. We can easily dispatch every claim made by climate alarmists, as they have no scientific rigor, and are held to no standards. It is a bit like standing at the end of a conveyor belt that makes candy and waiting for it to slow down or stop. Ain’t gonna happen.
“I’m an old elephant these days, wandering about stepping on my trunk”
This made me laugh.

Mark, something I have been meaning to ask your opinion on, that I will say up front I don’t have a strong opinion on is weather modification. This is very important because if this technology exists, then clearly it would be/is being used to promote climate change. The stuff people talk about today, based on my conversations with true believers, is that extreme weather is on the rise. And that insurance companies are projecting more extreme flooding and wildfires in the Northeast United States for example. There is much anecdotal evidence some kind of shenanigans, that are real, are going on is the “forest fires” in Canada that cause nasty haze in the Northeast about a year every summer the past several years. Not sure what exactly is going on there.
The other side of the coin of weather modification is cloud seeding, if you want to call it that. I will avoid calling them chemtrails because I have no idea what the intent is of the white fluff they spray all the time, typically in many of the most populated areas of the United States, and worldwide based on what i have seen. No, these are not condensation trails of passenger jets, thank you. The most basic explanation I can think of is they are trying to block sunlight as much as possible, because exposure to sunlight correlates generally with good health – both mental and physical. I do wonder if someday they will tell us they have been doing this, without the general population assenting to it. that they have been blocking the sun to save us from “global warming”.

Those are good points, complicated too. Weather modification, I don’t think they’re very good at it, if that is what they are up to. We lose track of how big this planet is, so that even our best technology has limited effects. The polar vortex is beyond anyone’s reach, causing cold snaps reaching down into the lower latitudes. Can’t stop it, so they claim it is Climate Change causing it, just another lie. Cloud seeding can affect local areas, but again, they’re not very good at it. What they can do, what they have done, is to set wildfires, but they are not murderers. The fires are generally set in wilderness areas where people are out of harm’s way. Look up, if you have a minute, the Quarry Fire, just last year and but a few miles from us. We were on pre-evac notice. The watch commander for the fire said on camera that they knew the fire was set in the dead of night, as a deputy on patrol saw flashes on a high hillside, obviously an incendiary. The WC said were going to put this damned fire out, and then we are going to find that guy and prosecute him. Then it went silent. Never a follow-up, as controlled news media is our lives now. A guy who used to write here, Steve Kelly, has fought the forest service for the entirety of his adult life in Montana, and says that FS does indeed set fires. Why? Climate change is not front and center … it is more about agency preservation. On one level, a jobs program, on another, raison d’état for the very existence of the Forest Service agency.
We are under extreme pressure right now from State Farm, as they are the only insurer left up here other than one that specializes in military clients. They are f***** reaming us, an 89% increase last year, God only knows what awaits. Last August we asked the SF agency to move our payment date out of April to some other month, as we owe every tax agency in April and needed some breathing room. In response, SF raised out umbrella policy by 29%, and was in the process of re-underwriting our homeowner’s insurance, and I saw another big hit coming our way, so I told the agency to 1) cancel the umbrella, and 2) cease the underwriting process, so we can play it out until next April and decided what our next move is. Nothing but silence on their part. The agent is a woman who speaks company, and only knows to repeat company dogma, “We have to match premiums with risk” etc. I complained that if we moved our auto coverage to another company, SF would increase our homeowner’s by more than the cost of our auto insurance, and said that’s highway robbery (why they push “bundling” so hard. She said no, auto and homeowners are “different lines” don’t you see? Effing nonsense.
State Farm is hammering everyone in the Colorado Rockies, claiming that increased wildfire risk is at the heart of it. That’s a lie, but maybe their underwriters have bought into the scam, as our wildfire danger is no more pronounced than in the 1950s, but the National Interagency Wildfire Center, a gov’t agency that is in charge of record keeping, pulled a fast one and deleted all wildfire information from the public record prior to 1983, saying that it was unreliable. That was a lie. The data is solid, peer-reviewed, and was often cited in studies, but wildfires follow hot and dry weather, and we had the worst of that in the 1930s-40s, where in 1930 alone 50 million acres burned. That was the data they deleted because they claim that we are living in the hottest times on record right now when it was plainly clear that the 1930s was that. These days 10-12 million acres is a typical wildfire year, but by truncating the data as they did, it looks indeed as if wildfires are on the increase.
As I say, they are not murderers, but they are liars. God do they lie, lie, lie. The whole of their movement is perception management and lies, predictions that never come true (see the Jehovahs Witnesses comment nearby), and raw power exercised via news media control and the IPCC, an agency set up to lie, officially.

Below is some data on chemtrails, or the presence of aerosols in aircraft exhaust.
https://pieceofmindful.com/2024/10/11/about-those-contrails/
If we are to mention “chemtrails” instead of “contrails”, we immediately get “conspiracy theory!!!”, meaning they are for sure hiding something important.
Mathis went after the subject and concluded that they are using aircraft exhaust to dispose of hazardous chemicals, otherwise expensive to deal with. That has explanatory power … to a degree, but I suspect there is far more to it, as you examine.

Mark, thanks for taking the time to make a thoughtful reply. I have been meaning to reply.
The home insurance racket (is it not a racket?) affects me also. Here in central Mass., in what should be one of the lowest risk areas of the country, far from the shoreline, or forest fires/drought my home insurance as tripled in 7 years. From what I understand the worst thing to happen to my town, and New England was the Hurricane of 1938, almost 90 years ago now. That hurricane was the real deal, my grandfather told stories about that. Was good business for lumbermen, as reportedly 1/3 of the pine trees in the affected areas (much of eastern New England) were knocked down. Which of course belies the notion that extreme weather events are increasing. I have not witnessed that, except in 2015 when we had record breaking blizzards in February – meaning a record breaking amount of snow. Not something “they” would have predicted in the Gore “ManBearPig” era of no snow by 2010, or whatever year they predicted.

Yes seriously. Here in New England, ponds are freezing right at Thanksgiving, as they did for many decades, and we are getting a major snowstorm first week of December, as is typical. And my wife just arrived in Thailand and it’s very cold in the mornings, about 50F. Which is atypical, in that its on the cold side of relatively recent history. When i was there two years ago in the north of Thailand it was in the 40s in December.

Outside of localized variability, temperatures have been remarkably stable since 1860 or so, a mild warming trend, but enough winter to help us understand that nothing has changed. 1860 was officially the year we emerged from the Little Ice Age. If you want to see the effects of cold on the human population, pay a visit to Valley Forge.

After reading the Wiki propaganda on Valley Forge, I think we are overdue for Mathis article on the American Revolution.

It’s an easy target for anyone, including you, to read and review Wikipedia looking for contradictions. I have written on a small part of it, Washington’s escape from Long Island, which seemed to have been permitted by the British. Without it, the war was over.

You got me thinking about the incongruities of the American revolution, and who came to power right after that. Jefferson and Adams were, of course, politically the dominant two after Washington for decades after the revolution. What is most interesting is both went to France in the Revolutionary years, and later Britain. I could be off as I’m not sure Jefferson went to England after France. Anyhow my point is the two biggest power brokers in America spent a significant amount of time in Europe, no doubt to be “educated” in the ways of the modern world and where it was going, so they could lead a young nation towards its so called destiny of being the muscle behind the Anglo-American empire by the 20th century.

Another thing is makes me wonder if they had betting markets in London back then to predict when the war would be “won” by the British. No doubt the odds were extremely long against the Washington team, kinda like Brady and the New England Patriots came back against Atlanta in 2017 being down 28-3. Don’t bet against the Patsies lol! Will be interesting seeing them in the AFC game this January

I have a theory about international relations, colonies and all that. It is that when a place gets uppity and hard to govern, the mother country will let them become independent but on one condition: That the leaders of the newly independent country be under control of the old master. I think this was the playbook for the U.S. and Cuba, notoriously hard to contain, that they sent in Castro and Guavera to be liberators, so that they could have their revolution, even win it, and still be under control of the mother country.
Is this the case with US and a britain, and why all of our presidents except one are descended from British royalty? Or, however that goes – you’d have to look it up. Some child prodigy did the genealogy.

Hey, I was raised as a JW, and I take offense at that!…..just kidding.
Born on the farm in Ohio in ‘52, raised that way from toddlerhood on. Three brothers from two to five years older. One day in the mid 60‘s, mother gathered the four of us together, solemnly but excitedly informing us that the “brothers” (term for the collective JW braintrust) were now pointing to 1975 as the likely time for the God-sponsored end of this “wicked system of things” …you know, the battle of armageddon being fought by God’s heavenly cleanup crew, resulting in the destruction of just about everything on earth, leaving all of us good little JW’s as the only ones left alive to transform earth into a “paradise”.
Fred Franz was the oracle/genius/bible interpreter who deduced that scenario using his keen insight into bible prophecies. From that came a hopeful and confident saying among us that became part of our lexicon for a few years, “stay alive ‘til ‘75“. ….otherwise, if one died prematurely, one would have to wait to be “resurrected” by God into that JW paradise.
So yeah, I managed to come thru all of that with some critical thinking ability intact, developing my propaganda radar along the way. “Wars”, religion, climate, virus, and all of the other agendas that are incessantly hammered on as means to control.
Fred Franz….1975
Al Gore….2014
What’s the difference between Freddie and Al?
Freddie actually believed what he was predicting was truth.
