I feel weird anyway, but after scoring 39, I feel even weirder.
I’ve always felt different, had teasing/bullying problems at school (usually from the same kid or group of kids who didn’t bother too many other kids the way they did me), have always felt better doing stuff myself and my own way.
It wasn’t until recently that I noticed some things about myself that I wanted to research. Sure, I’ve found ways to deal with what I thought were just my ‘quirks’ or whatever. But for some reason, I felt the need to do that research here lately. It was during that search that I came across the symptoms/diagnosis for autism. I’ve heard of it, but never thought it could apply to me because I had learned (when I was younger) that it was more of a developmental disability. Other than a speech impediment (though I still have, it is much less detectable now), I was deemed to have no developmental disabilities. I hadn’t learned that there was a spectrum for it.
But after taking a good, hard, long look at how I grew up (and how I felt growing up)… it has become my number one possibility. It feels like a missing jigsaw puzzle piece has been finally found.
I still have to have an official diagnosis, but at least I have a much better idea as to why I am who I am. I feel more at ease just because of that.

I just found this after doing research for my daughter. She is on the Autism Spectrum. I took the test and got a 38. Its not much of a surprise but I feel the test is not any sort of guideline for Autism. I suffer from Panic/Anxiery Disorder, Agoraphobia and OCD. Naturally because of my own disabilities the test would come back that high.

is autism a disability? when i was young i am very sensitive to sounds, when i hear a car is running accross, the sound left by the car sounds like a breathe of a woman to me, im also always alone, are these signs of autism? or i am just retarded? but i think im not, because i have done several IQ test on the internet and my lowest result is108 and my highest result is 114 means im normal
