There’s a presumption afoot in right wing circles that everyone in Guantanamo deserves what they are getting. Nice to see some justice at work. We don’t see much of it.
Note – the U.S. is still free to hold Hamdan as an “enemy combatant”, a classification made up on-the-spot in the crazed post-9/11 madness. It will be five months before we know if there is justice. If he’s not released, it will have been just a show trial.
Piece of Mindful 
In the new (negative) utopia created by Bush, Inc., guilt by association is normal operating procedure. It doesn’t matter whether you’re running for president, or jogging in the “wrong” neighborhood, you’re profiled, classified and found guilty before the first question is asked. Terrorist, Marxist, Socialist, the “bad” categories conveniently outnumber the acceptable. We’re way behind the Chinese, but closing fast.
