This link arrived by email from a reputable source. It seems fair and balanced – Anne Kilkenny of Wasilla,Alaska, tries to give credit where due. But Palin comes off as kind of a thug – she fires old hands and experienced people and then hires people who are loyal to her first, Alaska or Wasilla second. She seems to have built an network of cronies around herself. Didn’t I read about these kind of people in business management classes? Beware the empire builders, we were told.
In this regard, she seems to have things in common with another VP I know about. I doubt she’ll be running covert ops out of the White House basement, but you never know. From what Kilkenny says, she’s very, very smart.

The real story is far more interesting, and it goes to show who knows what: that’s why Alaskans are overwhelmingly for her. They know the real story, the one currently being changed for outside use.
Interesting the catch-22’s Palin is going through: she had to play hardball when corrupt Republican machine pols started losing money and the old boys’ network started losing money. They would put up bogus “gates” to vilify, then put her up on spurious charges. Several times she couldn’t fight the entrenched power, so she just quit. Other times, she took the corrupt investigations by stacking the fake investigative committes against her: yes, that’s hardball. Christ, it’s also obvious.
If this were a Democrat, you would be hailing her as another Ralph Nader who took on the powers and won. But she’s not, so she’s a “thug”.
