I think the fact that she hadn’t considered France’s system before is an indictment of conservative thought on this issue. It’s not exactly unknown that France has a fantastic health care system that would be a good one for us to learn from. I guess it’s easier to attack Canada or England than to take on stronger arguments for universal care.
