Dick Cheney attempted to persuade Senate Republicans to support the auto bailout last night, to no avail. He said it would be “Herbert Hoover” time if the bill was not passed.
Word this morning from Huffington Post is that the White House will consider using Wall Street bailout money for the deal.

Are we in a alternate universe? Cheney supports unions and Reid votes against them. At least the both ride/drive big black suburbans.
Chances are, Bush turns into Santa Claus before his term is up.

I think Reid’s vote was procedural, allowing the matter to come up for another vote. I assume Tester’s was too.
