Canada Forgets that Bush is Gone

In a bold effort to keep all right-thinking Canadians from being exposed to people who might hold a different point of view than some of their leaders, Canada has stopped terrorism at its border. It has banned George Galloway from entering the country.

Galloway, it should be remembered, took a strong stance against the Clinton/Blair sanctions on Iraq in the 1990’s, against the invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, and the attack on Iraq in 2003.

The man’s obviously a terrorist.

  1. Mark, I suspect with Galloway’s notorious past and Canada’s growing Muslim population it didn’t wish to risk serious polarizing incidents. On their CBC network they have a program called “Little Mosque on the Prarie,” as an attempt to mainstream Muslim culture.

  2. Canada is more like Europe than the US when it comes to freedom of speech. If Galloway went off on an anti-Jewish rant, that would violate their hate speech laws.

  3. Where emotion, passion, anger, and violence result I’m not sure those so enflamed know the difference. Canada just doesn’t want to risk destabilizing its efforts to unite diverse cultures as per my reference to their CBC program. They be different than us.
