A counter-diddle

For the simple reason that Washington had announced a “red line,” Syria would have been stupid to use chemical weapons, as it would invite a US military attack. Therefore, it’s easy to see that the attack was staged by the terrorists and death squads. That fact firmly in mind, it is simply a matter of looking for evidence that either confirms or denies that premise. Evidence of death squad involvement in the attack, much of which was apparently done for cameras’ benefit, it abundant and easy to find.

It’s an obvious con job. How can they get away with it?

For one thing, the American public is not presented with any alternatives beyond the official story, except when there is conflict within the power centers over the desired course of action. But the more important advantage for the con artists behind this transparent ruse is that the American public cannot think critically, and easily believes the most transparent lies.

According to RT, the death squads and terrorists are now planning an attack on Israel using the same weapons, the USS Israel no doubt complicit. The painful thing to watch, if it happens, is the ease with which it will go down. But the encouraging thing is that due to involvement of Russia in throwing debris on the path to war, the US feels a need to take it up a notch by staging yet another fake event.

American and Israeli militants are lined up on the borders of Syria now in anticipation of the invasion, and have been since mobilization three days before the purported event.

And yes, I am deliberately switching the pejorative terminology from the mainstream US media usage, turning it inside out. If this creates cognitive dissonance in the mind of the reader, I’ve achieved my objective. You’re being diddled by US state-controlled media, and I am merely un-diddling.

Ineptitude

liar0The girl to the left, “Nayirah,” was presented to the American public in 1991 as a Kuwaiti citizen who witnessed atrocities committed by Iraqi soldiers. She claimed that they had entered a hospital and taken babies from incubators and thrown them on the floor to watch them die. It was a lie, of course, and later we learned that Nayirah was the daughter of Saud bin Nasir Al-Sabah, the Kuwait ambassador to the US, and that the whole scene was orchestrated before congress by the public relations firm Hill and Knowlton, working for the Kuwaiti government.

It was a scam, but that is not important. It worked, and by the time we discovered the hoax, it was far too late. Rather we need to concentrate on these three issues: Continue reading “Ineptitude”

Desperation in DC?

This rarely happens, and is a sign of how bad it has gotten in DC. Even the Bush Administration people never swung so low. From Moon of Alabama:

The President of Russian Federation Putin just called U.S. Secretary of State Kerry a liar. This because Kerry insisted, in contradiction to U.S. intelligence and recent news reports, that the al-Qaeda affiliated fighters in Syria are only a shrinking minority of the Syrian opposition.

Kerry asserted that the armed opposition to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad “has increasingly become more defined by its moderation, more defined by the breadth of its membership, and more defined by its adherence to some, you know, democratic process and to an all-inclusive, minority-protecting constitution.

“And the opposition is getting stronger by the day,” Kerry told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday.”

To this Putin responded:

Mr Putin said: “This was very unpleasant and surprising for me. We talk to them (the Americans) and we assume they are decent people, but he is lying and he knows that he is lying. This is sad.

2+2=5

Everything in the U.S. is the trial of the century. O.J. Simpson’s trial was the trial of the century. Clinton’s trial was the trial of the century. But this is the trial of century, and who’s here? (Barbara Reis, U.S. correspondent for the Lisbon daily Publico, sitting at the 1999 civil trial that found the US government and other parties guilty of conspiracy in the murder of Martin Luther King Jr.)

Freedom-seeking bombs
Freedom-seeking bombs
The war on Syria has been set back, as the fake chemical attack did not convince anyone other than American journalists, by far the most gullible people on the planet. Britain is out, the UN is out, and even France is wavering. Turkey has its own problems, and Egyptian President Morsi was brought down shortly after ordering Egyptian troops to participate with the terrorists and death squads in bringing down the Assad regime.

It’s really, really ugly, man. Obama, a stooge and figurehead, could well have his head lopped after this, figuratively of course (though the assassin’s rifle is always aimed at an American president). The troops have been assembling and hardware lined up for a couple of years now, and the “Red Line” ploy was put in place a year ago to justify a September attack. My guess is that if it does go forward, it will be on September 11, as that day now has a cult-like significance, the feast of the largest false-flag attack ever in the United States. As toothpaste goes, that tube may just about be squeezed dry, but given the current proximity of the forthcoming attack to our national ritualistic orgy of victimhood, the date makes sense.

Snuff film soon to be released by Pentagon?

Rebel armed with freedom-seeking bullets
Rebel armed with freedom-seeking bullets
Imagine this: The US, secretly behind a covert attack by terrorists and death squads on Syria, is also looking for a reason to overtly attack the place, Libya style, sacrificing tens of thousands of innocent people, destroying the country in order to save it. So they announce a “red line,” or use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government, as justification for an attack. It is couched as a warning, but the whole sentient world knows at that very moment that the US is supplying chemical weapons to the death squads, and that there will soon be an incident.

Syria update

This is a follow-up on a footnote to the last post, what has become of Syria? When it leaves our mainstream news coverage, the most submissive and compliant media on earth, after months of aggressive and biased reporting, something is up. I can only speculate, but here are some facts:

  • There was a world-wide terror alert last week, and as many as fifteen embassies will be closed. I doubt that there is such widespread terror, or that any secret “Al Qaeda”* communications were intercepted, unless between Langley and the Pentagon. So I thought perhaps they are setting the stage for new false-flag attacks, after which they would blame and bomb Syria.
  • The original strategy against Syria failed – that is, the so-called red line wherein the death squads used chemical weapons, maybe, and then blamed the Assad regime. They could never quite pull this off – too many people paying close attention.
  • Part of the reason for Morsi’s overthrow in Egypt was his order to mobilize Egyptian military units against Syria. Since Syria and Egypt are the old United Arab Republic, there are still ties there, and the military refused.
  • This I just learned: The Egyptian military is conducting a large operation in North Sinai to rout “Al Qaeda” forces there. It’s a smart move, as the presence of such forces could have been a justification for NATO to sieze the Suez Canal.

I never discount the United States military and CIA, the most sophisticated fighting and terrorist force in the history of the planet. But the marked failures so far are very encouraging.
_________
*I put “Al Qaeda” in quotes, as it is largely a US-invested and US-run organization used to run terrorist operations and justify a US response. See how it works? In the same manner, the British originally founded the Muslim Brotherhood, and the U.S. and Israel were originally behind Hamas and Hezbollah. It is not clear, to this day, if original ties are severed. The world is full of surprises. But that is indeed how it works. Since there are no real anti-imperialist “terrorist” forces (there are resistance fighters, as in Iraq), we have to invent them.

Meh.

I have to express some disappointment at a good man and hard thinker in that JC started out in his post on the right track, civil liberties, but spent the rest of the post dwelling on partisan politics. It reminded me of when the Republican strategists who brought Reagan to office had mastered the art of direct mailing to bring voting blocs together.

That sort of thing goes on all day every day. I don’t like it. I don’t dislike it. I nothing it. It’s partisan politics. If Mitt Romney had won, had out-maneuvered the Obama people, would we be worse off? According to the first part of the long post, no. That’s what matters – Bush III.

A good man was I think a bit intimidated into using only acceptable mainstream sources. NY Times, WaPo. Isn’t it interesting how, in doing so, he went completely thought-free and partisan on us?

A big “Meh.”

The insanity of austerity during depression

Learn to identify the enemy
Learn to identify the enemy
Experienced investors understand that government austerity leads to economic contraction. They also know the opposite is true, that government spending is an economic stimulus. It is the main source of our research and development, the financier of “unprofitable” projects that benefit everyone in a small degree, none to a large one. Taxes are necessary to pay for these affairs. Money creation, as the Federal Reserve can do, will collapse the house of cards if it is our only source of funding. But when the economy is shrinking, the public and private government (the Fed), must step in and fuel the fire.

This is known. Why then austerity in the face of contraction? Is it stupidity?

Twenty-one minutes

I long ago stopped suggesting that people read books that I have read – why would they anyway? There’s an element of “should” in there, as if one person’s work has more merit than others based on my judgment which must therefore be superior to that of others. There is an objective reality and we are all trying to find it in some fashion, but our own view of that reality is deeply mired in our own emotions and values. It’s difficult, takes time and effort, and each person’s path and effort produces a different outlook. Some are worthy, others nonsensical.

With that in mind, I humbly suggest that the reader might enjoy the podcast linked here – a twenty-one minute lecture by the late Christopher Hitchens. You get to use your own judgment about the worth of his words. My only thoughts are that the man had a well-developed mind and a sharp wit, that the talk was very entertaining, and that I miss him.

Miscellany

I had a bit of time on our trip home to listen to podcasts and review Thoreau’s thoughts on civil disobedience. People are calling for Edward Snowden’s head due to “treason,” but I don’t see it. What he disclosed is already known. It’s “legal” in the sense that a congress with a gun at its head passed it in a mindless time. That was part of the intent of the 9/11 attack. We need, at this time, not some spook coming out from the shadows to tell us what vigilant citizens already know, but rather a popular movement to remove the people from office who gave us USAPATRIOT and the people behind them who gave us 9/11, and that is not going to happen. Rather, we move forward.
