I got a bad feeling about this. The science here is not “not in dispute”, and it’s not clear we can ameliorate climate change. India and China are not going to do anything. We could shoot all our cows and turn the US into a park and not much would change climate wise.
Lines like “we will make these investments and create jobs” are groaners.

Those of us who (reluctantly) invested in Obama haven’t been given much to cheer about since he won. It’s beginning to feel like Clinton II, and that should make you very happy. But a more positive and intelligent attitude about science would be a great improvement over what we have now – the Dark Ages of Bush.

“the Dark Ages of Bush” is a little harsh. I don’t think he was that bad about science. He kick started some federal funding of stem cells.
I would like to see more support for science research. We could do better.
