No the US way of promoting tourism is by making would-be travelers, including visa-waiver countries, to make a special trip to the US consulate to pay a ten-dollar fee that goes to a campaign to promote US tourism abroad. This is not a joke. well it is a joke, I mean this is true.

Yes, it is completely fricking stupid. It might even be a deliberate joke or slam from an outgoing editorial staff employee. It might just be a mistake.
What it likely isn’t is a deliberate attempt to mislead us by FOX news. Where you are likely correct is that the stupidity of the constant news cycle leaves us vulnerable to this kind of BS.

I think this is a subliminal message from Fox news. They try hard to be masters of propaganda, but are so easy to see through. I would give them a C- on their report card in Propaganda 101, in fact. Which is right in sync with their math and geography grades. Of course I’m one of those teachers that practically gives you a C for showing up. Go figure (I don’t mean that as a challenge).
