Time to STFU, Roger

Crude planted evidence, circa 2001
Crude planted evidence, circa 2001
After 9/11 there was a series of anthrax-laced letters delivered to various public officials, including the one at the right. Anyone attune to the methods of intimidation knows the meaning: STFU. Resident evil pinned the crime on Bruce Ivins, but we’ll never know who did it, as Ivins committed suicide. The fake investigation ended there. (Most likely, it was a staged suicide, but that will never be investigated either. Curious people die.)

Shades of those events, Mississippi Senator Roger Wicker received a letter laced with ricin, indicating that he might be curious about the Boston bombing. He’ll STFU.

American journalists, known to be housebroken, will scratch their heads at this odd coincidence, but it stops there.
__________
Update: It is indeed 9/11 all over again, with a ricin-tainted letter allegedly sent to Obama. (Whether that is a real event or fake, its implications are the same.) Something big is going down, the game is afoot, and I can only guess it is designed to ignite a Mideast War, with South Korea and Japan put on notice by the Korean provocations. I am only waiting, as are millions in Syria, Lebanon and Iran, for the other shoe to fall.

      1. They don’t make it a habit of announcing troop movements, and plenty of Americans are already there. This is a public gesture only – to what end? Softening us for the attack?

    1. I think the attack on Syria started a year-and-a-half ago. But, like Libya, Assad cannot be brought down without bombing the shit out of the place, creating another human tragedy. Before they do that, they need casus belli.

It is entirely possible that Boston was the work of a deranged person who does not work for the National Security State. But consider that such deranged people are usually not smart enough to pull this stuff off. It is a suspicious event, and coupled with ricin, appears to be a coordinated effort at agitation and intimidation, 9/11 style.

The question is not if they will attack Syria. They already have. It’s a question of when the bombs start falling.

  1. Watch for May 7. That would be the (1999) 14-year anniversary of NATO’s bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade. Almost forgot, but saw former NATO commander Gen. Wesley Clark, Mr. “Modern Warfare,” blubbering on about something to do with the Boston bombing.

The Chinese never seem to forget. Would love to read their newspapers, but je ne comprends pas.

  2. Watching the chess pieces in Venezuela too. Already 7 reported dead, and President-elect Nicolas Maduro has accused U.S.-backed opposition of planning a coup against him. Apparently, the U.S. is not recognizing the election results, pushing for a recount even though it passed International observer scrutiny. Kerry’s first big test as SOS.

      1. Fixing elections and courts? Sounds like Hugo to me.

Even before any legal motion was filed, the pro-government head of Venezuela’s Supreme Court on Wednesday slapped down demands for a recount of the hotly contested presidential election that gave a narrow victory to Hugo Chavez’s acolyte, Nicolas Maduro.

It was another blow to efforts to challenge Maduro’s win and comes as opposition members say they also fear a wave of political and legal repression. …

Luisa Estela Morales, president of the Venezuela Supreme Court, said during a news conference Wednesday that it was impossible to conduct a ballot-by-ballot recount because the voting system is automated. “Those who have been thinking this could happen were fooling themselves,” she said.

She made her comments even though the opposition had not formally filed a petition for a recount.

        1. So you are saying that their voting system might be corrupt, like ours? Anyway, remember 2002 when your fascist friends staged a coup , disbanded the legislature, terminated the supreme court and flew chavez off to a military base to force his resignation?

These are your boys at work, you fascist dick.

            1. I never mentioned State but if i thought they were behind it along with the local oligarchs, i would not be taking their word that they were not involved. (They were. Get real. )

  3. It should not be forgotten that we never conducted a recount in 2000, and that Senor Gore won the popular vote. We, on the other hand, hold other countries to a much higher democratic standard, not withstanding the general exception carved out for violent dictators already on our payroll.

    1. Gore? Didn’t he sell his eco tv channel to some Big Oil organization?

He’s lately been a little wacko.

Quote: “Former US Vice-President Al Gore didn’t mince his words as he painted a vivid portrait of the worldwide devastation being caused by the invisible, tasteless and odourless greenhouse gases.

Climate change is causing devastation like that depicted in the Bible’s book of ‘Revelations’, he told delegates, including Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore, at the Hunger, Nutrition, Climate Justice international conference at Dublin Castle.”

      Dodged a bullet there.

  4. It seemed as if you were overtaken by a mild bit of hysteria when you wrote this and then had calmed down quite a bit by the next one. Some serious conclusion jumping going on here.

      1. It seems this mornings turn of events has raised the heat of your postings again. What do you think is the likelihood that these two individuals alleged to be the perps are not part of a larger conspiracy involving the US govt to start a new war in iran, Lebanon or Syria and are just two disaffected individuals struggling to fit in a foreign land (who might also share your concern about the health and well being of victims of US violence) and are acting out in an anti-social way?

        1. Of course that is among the possibilities, but is made less likely by its coincidental occurrence with three other events, and photos (which I do not know yet to be genuine) of Navy Seal Team 3 members around the finish line. I advise high skepticism and to avoid doinf what you are apparently doing, jumping to conclusions based on the words of authority figures.

        2. Did you hear the interview of the American high school friend friend of the 19 year old?

A longtime classmate in an interview with ABC News described him as “just a great kid. He was fun to be around. He always had a positive attitude.” CNN interviewed a classmate who called him a good wrestler and “a normal kid. He parties, sometimes he smokes. He was raised here. He was just as American as I am.”
