Yea, it’s long. I save this since before computers saved and lost it — several times now on various websites. Some “disappeared” it, some now want to profit from reading his words. Take it or leave it. I like what the man had to say to Harvard students in 1978. https://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/alexandersolzhenitsynharvard.htm
it is only the 0.1% who know that the other 0.1% are lying.
perhaps another 3% suspect that “they” are lying, and then perhaps another 3% who have let the idea pass through their minds that they are being lied to…
Off topic – In another post you discussed etymology of the word research as a circling around, turning, returning before it came to mean searching & some very pertinent comments on the importance of experience, facts, statistics (May 31, 7.40pm). I’ve been doing some ‘research’ (on ‘complementary / integrative’ herbal support in breast cancer treatment as part of a commitment to a charity I have worked for for some years, which I’m expected to present) & my interpretation of research aligns with yours (not my colleague’s however..) I intend to critique current ‘acceptable’ research methods – I’m hoping you would be happy for me to quote & credit you?
Cancer is caused by a buildup of toxins in the body. We are being exposed to more and more toxins, and the liver can’t keep up. Herbal support is likely to add to the liver’s burden of detoxification.
To understand these concepts more fully, I recommend reading the research of Grant Genereux https://ggenereux.blog/my-ebooks/
and watching the videos of Dr. Garret Smith

Thank you for your suggestions which I look forward to reading & watching.
I have been doing this work for many years & have seen many people do well, well beyond conventional expectations. In my experience there are many threads & facets in therapeutic strategy of which supporting the liver – Live-er – is fundamental. My aim with this study involving interviews with experienced practioners & medics, was/is to gain knowledge which can help the people I & others work with.
Where the lying comes in, in my view, is where interviews (highly structured & potentially restrictive) are expected to be ‘translated’ into the words contained & then extrapolations made from the number of times particular words are repeated, ultimately bearing no relation to what was actually said.
I think this does tie in with being lied to as the illogical & inherently misleading research methodology seems to me an integral part of the lying process.
