Coronavirus Panic is Mass Hysteria and Nothing More

I write this post only minutes after the Dow Jones industrial average has closed down 3,000 points and lost 13% in a single day. Bigger than the collapse of 1929. This wasn’t even on the front page of international news outlets. It has been that kind of week. If you follow this blog, you know that we do not feel that there is really a pandemic happening right now. It is cold and flu season, yes. That is all it is. People have colds. Fatality rates have been comically mis-applied and exaggerated. The media has forced a panic down our throats from the top, when all that is really happening is cold and flu season. But at the end of the day, as comical and absurd as this all is at its heart, the saddest part is that panic is panic. It does not matter how manufactured or ridiculous the panic is. Once society is panicking, it really does not matter what caused the panic or whether it makes sense. Society is deep in a panic for the ages right now. It is on par with the greatest instances of mass hysteria in the history of mankind. As calm as the average person claims to be, the damage being inflicted right now is deep and irreversible. Panic is panic, and unfortunately it is very real right now. The ramifications of the past week will reverberate throughout generations to come.

David Robert Grimes Undermines Conspiracists, Poorly

F4266C43-BD46-4DF4-8626-8B6B94642C68

A few years ago, media outlets started playing up a supposedly scientific study which claimed that conspiracies were basically impossible in the long run. Take a look here. The study is called “On the Viability of Conspiratorial Beliefs” by David Robert Grimes. This was supposed to misdirect the average person from the idea that there really could be conspiracies out there, because they would collapse under their own weight. The media approach was to display this paper as scientific evidence that there just couldn’t be real conspiracies. This is science, you guys! He used a real mathematical formula! All conspiracies are hereby debunked.

In reality, the flaws in this study are so glaringly obvious that a 3rd grader in a science fair would have immediately identified them. The underlying assumptions behind this paper are so deeply flawed that it belongs in the nearest trash can. If I had a printed copy, I would not even deign to use it for toilet paper. Below, I will quote from Grimes’ own study to reveal what a clown show his study actually is.

2001: The Moon is the Monolith

galilean-satellitesb
Our moon, fitting like a glove with the Jovian moons.

A commenter recently raised the topic of the moon, and this is such a juicy topic for a site like ours. I provided my theory then, that our moon was originally one of the moons of Jupiter, placed here with Earth…and I wanted to more formally expand upon that here. Keep in mind, I say “theory” in the strictly scientific sense. This is just an idea, and I welcome feedback (one commenter already very helpful in that regard). Keep reading, and see if you think I might be onto something.

Coronavirus Doctor Li Wenliang Did Not Exist

Dr-Li-Wenliang

Readers might already know that I was on the trail of this one, and I think it is worthy of its own post. Last week, the doctor who was known as the “whistleblower” on the Chinese coronavirus was reported to have died from the virus. The red flags surrounding this death are redder than the Chinese flag is red. Something fishy absolutely happened here, and below I will explore what I believe we have witnessed: Li Wenliang did not exist (or if he did, he was a state agent and most certainly did not die of the coronavirus). More below, and a photo comparison at bottom.

Speciation: The Achilles Heel of Darwin’s Natural Selection

historyoflife

Those who have followed this blog recently might know of my interest in the fossil history of the Earth. It should not be surprising, then, that I also have a deep interest in Biology as a subject. As a card-carrying science geek for most of my life, my particular area of interest was always Biology. Of all the geeks in AP Biology, I was geekiest among them. My AP Biology teacher once told my mother that if she had a daughter, she would want her to marry me. This should tell you a thing or two about the impression I made.

Anyway, just like any student of the time, we were taught about Darwin and Natural Selection. Also known as “survival of the fittest”, the concept of Natural Selection does a lot to explain the behavior of species in real life. It is especially good at explaining how species adapt to a particular niche, and how certain traits are favored over time if they lead to some kind of survival advantage. However, once a species is adapted to its niche, we no longer see changes. There have been species in the oceans which are virtually unchanged for the past 500 million years, even if improvements could still be made (the Horseshoe crab, for instance). Indeed, these unchanged species are not perfect, but they are perfect for their particular niche. If Natural Selection were constantly driving new species (speciation), then these unchanging species are a big problem for it being the main driver for speciation events.

What Keeps Montana’s Timber Industry Alive: Is it Socialism or Fascism?

Please note facsi on either side of the American flag. Fasci will remain for Trump’s State of the Union address.

In the not so recent past Montana’s private logging contractors and saw-mill owners operated predominantly on privately-owned lands.  The old growth was “high-graded” (stripped off), and much of that land was sold off to the federal government and real estate corporations (REITs).  In other words, after the easy-to-access, high-value old growth on private land was liquidated, the timber industry has been going through a structural transition (merger, acquisition, liquidation) for decades. This is the trend. Mills have closed, workforce numbers declined, and the “timber economy” in Montana and other Northern Rockies states has trended downward, with no end in sight.

A significant portion of all wood-fiber production has relocated to the Southeastern states for a variety of quite logical, ecological and economic reasons.

Resolving the Tokarski Phenomenon

pjimage

Preface: Before I begin, I would like to introduce myself to Piece of Mindful readers, since this is my first post. Mark personally asked me to give writing a chance, and I am more than happy to oblige him. A little about myself…I will be 30 years old in a matter of days, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (graduated summa cum laude), and I possess knowledge in a wide variety of areas due to a lifelong passion for interesting information. Those who know me often say that I should sign up to be on “Jeopardy!”. In terms of Myers-Briggs personality types, the best fit for me is INTP, “The Logician” or “The Thinker”. I have always had a great admiration for the Sherlock Holmes character, and I apologize in advance for the number of times I will likely reference Holmes in making a point. My mind works very much like Holmes’s does in the stories. I refrain from social life to a large extent (by choice), and I am almost completely unplugged from modern popular culture. Although I own a TV, I rarely watch it. The only radio I listen to is BBC World News, and I do not follow any modern pop music. The only form of media I am interested in is film, and I have always been a big fan of Stanley Kubrick. This is all I will bore you with about myself…

My purpose in this particular article is resolving what I will call the Tokarski Phenomenon, named after the owner of this blog Mark Tokarski and his extensive catalog of work surrounding facial alignment. Just so that it is clear what I mean when I say “the Tokarski Phenomenon”, I would like to define the term. The Tokarski Phenomenon is defined as the excessive preponderance of facial alignment doppelgängers amongst Western public figures. Whether we are talking about “batches” such as the Damon Batch and Katy Perry Batch or the “twins” that Mark has written about extensively, the underlying phenomenon is basically a prevalence of facial alignment doppelgängers amongst public figures far outside of that which statistical norms would forecast. In this article, I will not only show that existing explanations (both common and uncommon) for this phenomenon are wholly inadequate, but I will also provide a strong case for the true explanation for this curiosity termed “the Tokarski Phenomenon”.

Has “the game” really changed?

Global Warfare: “We’re Going to Take out 7 Countries in 5 Years: Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan & Iran..” – Global ResearchGlobal Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

US Defense Secretary Mark T. Esper described the assassination of General Soleimani as a “decisive defensive action” while confirming that the operation ordered by Donald Trump had been carried out by the Pentagon. “The game has changed” said Defense Secretary Esper.Michel Chossudovsky, January 4, 2019

If it isn’t our old friend Amy Goodman (AKA, Janis) with the retired “good” general managing public perception as the new Middle East Plan is unveiled. It hardly seems – to me at least – that “the game has changed.” https://www.globalresearch.ca/we-re-going-to-take-out-7-countries-in-5-years-iraq-syria-lebanon-libya-somalia-sudan-iran/5166

It’s the same game, always. Why would anyone want to continue playing this game?

Great Balls of Fire

This year the combination of solstice, Christmas and New Year pushed the limits of our quiet and peace here on the West bench of the Bridger Mountain Range, Montana. Beloved house guests stayed a few days too long. Then a second wave came rather unexpectedly to replace the first bunch. Cooking for a group, instead of the usual two. Remaining courteous. Deferring, for whatever idiotic reason. It’s all part of the game, I suppose. Too much of a good thing.

Well, as one can hardly avoid all media when guests are in the house, there will be blood. We have right-wingers and left-wingers, and everything in between. One story that broke really frayed the edges of civility — the “White Helmets” and Syrian (Assad) “gassing civilians.”

In order to perception manage us any harder, these freaks are going to have to go around literally confiscating our ears and eyeballs.
Caitlin Johnstone

Media works. Propaganda works. Lies, lies, lies. We will survive. Plan B next year. I want to thank PBS (scum) for pulling back the curtain to expose the reality of life in America. As they say, “bettter luck next time.”

Blowing (debt) bubbles for oligarch carpetbaggers: Bigger and better than ever.

Where do you fit in?

Mark and others have demonstrated how the climate change narrative has been doctored and promoted by a multi-disciplinary team of liars that serve the collection of oligarchs presently anxious to begin their turn partying in the driver’s seat. But will the new, green economy do the trick? Will climate change create the hysteria needed to inflate the next global economic bubble and transition us into a new world order – much like the old-world order — that is less dependent on perpetual war and violence against the non-compliant? Can the ruling class reach consensus?

Privatization, deregulation and austerity (neoliberal principles) have served the uber-rich since the 1970s at the expense of everyone else. Countries rich in oil and other natural treasures have suffered most.  Wealth has accumulated at the top, stolen in the usual manner, at gunpoint, by the proxy armies of NATO and private mercenaries and international NGOs, funded by the U.S. defense budget and laundered money from gun-running, drugs, trafficking and gambling, all channeled through global banks like the BIS, IMF and World Bank.
